The room is huge, clean and tidy. Awesome. I got my own decoder channels TV. So feel free to choose what want to see. Room is classic. But it's fancy style. I love it.

A very nice hotel! So amazing! Nice decoration with English style. Large room with full of comfort, iron, hair-dryer already available in the room. From inside of the room, it's like 5-star hotel! Near attraction area!

Excellent stay. Nice interior decor. price of 1 star hotel but the feel is 5 star. Good job. The only problem is, there is no parking space provided by hotel.

Old world charm
The building used to and still used as chamber of commerce except that upstairs now is hotel and restaurant. The room was clean the shower was hot and the ac unit was cold. Perfect. But one day back from out and about back to our room and still in messy condition. The room boy work a bit slow. You can ask front desk to solve this problem. Its minor but still bugging me. Other than that, I would gladly back to stay

Comfortable and Easy Access
The room was clean and spacious as we expected. The hotel is located in a great location, very close to many attractions especially the famous street arts. We would definitely come back to stay here again in the future.

Comfortable room but noisy location
We stayed two nights at this hotel in room 103, facing the noisy road. All the rooms in this hotel face the road anyway. If you are a light sleeper, do not choose this hotel. A card is issued for the power in the room, just like any other hotel, but a physical key for the door. 50 ringgits is required as a refundable deposit. It is at most a 2 or 3 star hotel, not 4 star as stated. There is nothing other than a roof top terrace for bbq, not sure if booking is required though. The hotel staff speak good English and are friendly and polite. There is a Chinese restaurant which we did not check out, and a cafe for cakes and coffee down at the street level that looks cosy. The room is big, clean and comfortable. Provided in the room is a kettle, a few tea and coffee sachets, iron, ironing board and a hair dryer. Two bottles of water is provided daily. Toiletories come in two big container (body wash and shampoo), attached on wall of the shower. Bring your own other toiletories. There is a choice of normal or rain showers. There is a tiny sink in the toilet, but a big one in the bedroom, with hand washing liquid and a hand towel. . However, contrary to what I had read, there are no slippers provided. The shower also had poor drainage that caused us to step on deep puddle of water when showering! Upon returning to our room on our 2nd day around 5pm, we were dismayed that our room was not made. We had to request for toilet and tissue papers. The reception lady explained that there is only one housekeeper and she had to clean the checkout rooms before attending to ours. For the price we paid, I believe we can get a better hotel in Georgetown.

Comfortable & Amicable Stay!
My friend and I had stayed at this hotel for 5 days 4 nights between 7 and 10 July 2017. The air-conditioned room is spacious and clean, also with good smelling aroma on bed-sheet and window curtain. There are complimentary mineral water daily, and the room comes with a electric kettle, a small fridge, a hair-dryer, a TV with cable programmes, and clean towels. The staff are friendly and helpful. It has a nice roof top whereby you can stay up there for chit-chatting or relaxing. It is located within short walking distance to Fort Cornwallis, Esplanade Park Foodcourt, and the river bank. There are lot of activities along the riverside whereby you may make a nice breezy stroll and stopover a hawker centre at the end of the river for local food. It is also rather accessible to the 3D Trick Art Museum, Little India, Street Arts, and many more restaurants and eateries. There are also a 7-eleven downstairs if you need anything anytime. As this is a heritage boutique hotel, it doesn't come with a lift, hence you have to make your way to climb up the stairs. Some downside about staying at this hotel are the noisy street at midnight, especially on a Friday night, also most eateries do not operate on weekend and it is not close to shopping belt. Overall, a pleasant stay if you like somewhere away from the bustling area, I will come back again!

Lovely renovated building in a great location
The Chambers Hotel is situated on two floors of a renovated old building located in the world heritage listed Georgetown area of Penang. The room decor is very attractive and fits in with the colonial era theme of the building. The staff were very friendly and helpful, offering tips on places to eat and sights to see. If you are a light sleeper, you should probably avoid this hotel, as even though the windows had double glazing, the traffic noise was very intrusive as the hotel is situated on a busy road. There is a restaurant separate to the hotel and a great coffee shop on the street level, but unfortunately it doesn't open until 10.00am on public holidays. There is also a 7/11 located on the ground floor, which was useful as there weren't any other restaurants/shops close by. The location is great as the free hop on/off bus runs past the hotel and it is near Little India where you can get great food.
