Gaya Street -

Gaya Street was previously known as Bond Street and located in the Kota Kinabalu Central Business District. This street is widely known among locals and tourists for selling almost anything you can think of. There are batik sarongs, fruits and flowers, arts and craft, antiques and souvenirs, footwear, snacks and pets. There are also stalls which sell arts, craft, food, fruits, antiques and many more. Every Sunday morning, Gaya Street is closed off to traffic to make way for Gaya Street Fair. The Gaya Street Fair starts as early as 6 am in the morning until 1pm in the afternoon.

Atkinson Clock Tower -

This clock tower was built in 1905 and located along Signal Hill road. This unique tower is an all- wood and no- nails structure and built to remember the late Francis George Atkinson who is the notable first District Officer of Jesselton during the British North Borneo Chartered Company Administration. The Jesselton first district officer died of Malaria or ‘Borneo Fever’ at the age of 28 in December 1902. His mother, Mrs Mary Edith Atkinson presented a two-faced clock to Jesselton town as a tribute to the memory of her son and it was decided later that a clock tower would be built in his honour. It is the oldest standing structure in the whole of Sabah that survived the destruction of Jesselton town during World War II until now. The Atkinson Clock Tower is handled by the Sabah Museum under its Antiquity and History section.
