One good thing is the reception service. We book the room like an hour before we arrived at the hotel. We got a friendly warm welcoming from the receptionist that shift, Ms Aisyah. Our room got problem on the lights so we request to change room and that process not even take 5 minutes. She was a speedy staff. As for the room, it was ok. Perhaps can add more lighting and make the room bright a bit. For the television, add more channel and probably change television that can play movie using a pendrive. Other parts are fine for me and my friends. Location wise ok. Near to Kampong Bharu which was walking distance of 7 minutes. Parking is free. Another points to add for the awesome!

Million Dollar Views... But the WORST Service EVER...
This is a first for me writing about my family's experience at a hotel. In fact, this is the first time I have ever truly needed to complain. This hotel was literally the WORST experience I have EVER had in my 40 plus years of traveling around the globe. I am a combat veteran who is wheelchair bound, and the hotel made me park in the basement where I needed 3 people to help me wheel my chair up to the entrance to the hotel. There is no elevator to the parking garage. I noticed a beautiful new Mercedes parked in front of the hotel in one of the 3 spaces reserved for the staff I was told, and the Mercedes was the hotel managers car. I ask nicely if I could park in front due to my medical condition and was told I could. The next day I come out and one of the guards told me I would have to move it because they had an event and needed the space for their clients. I told the guard I was given permission to park there due to being wheelchair bound, and he made me move my vehicle anyway or he said it would be towed at my expense. There was/is no handicapped parking for handicapped persons at this hotel, but there is parking if you are the hotel manager or one of his invited guest we were told by one of the staff who felt sorry for us and my plight. Second, not ALL things were that bad, but the hotel was in poor shape, the pool area had people living to the side who were artist and actually their paintings were pretty good, but it smelled and there was no attendant on staff for towels, and the place was full of plants for some reason which we had to walk around to get to the pool area. The service in the lounge and dining area was superb, but the food was terrible so we ate out at another hotel just around the corner which was a 5 star hotel complete with an AMAZING staff and SUPERB customer SERVICE. The television, phone and wifi did NOT work in our room, and 2 nights we were flooded out of our bathroom. We asked to change rooms to the EXECUTIVE floor and were told that it was closed, and we were NOT able to move so we made the best out of our situation knowing we would NEVER return to this hotel and let others know what to expect. The only reason we continued to stay was because we paid in full in advance, and the staff that did help us were so kind and apologetic to us that we hated to leave because they actually did care, and did try an accommodate us every single day/night. The hotel manager left early ever day or simply did not come to work so we were NEVER able to speak directly with him, and the front counter staff was uneducated in English and did not care one way or the other about our complaints as we are not from their country, and don't speak their language, so they played with their cell phones and Facebook while we waited for their assistance which we NEVER received. If you want an outstanding hotel then walk about 400 meters to the WP hotel just around the corner and the staff, food, views are just amazing especially with the rooftop pool and views of the Towers and city. My wife & I stayed here for 3D2N. Since our flight was so early in the morning, it was past 1 am. Few days before we arrived, I had an email conversation with the reception staff to made some special arrangement like the transportation from the airport to the hotel and made a decoration surprise in our our because its my birthday and a post honeymoon also. So they gave me the package but I didn't agreed and ask for a simple decor only. Unfortunately, we didn't close the deal. So upon arrival at the airport, I knew that we need need to made our own way to get to the hotel. So we rented a car to drove to the hotel, I was quite a long ride, but its okay, coz the driver was so kind and very entertaining. Upon arrival at the lobby around 3am, there was a receptionist who's waiting for us. We handed our documents and paid 20 rinngit for the tourist tax. Back then, I knew to myself that there will be no special in our room. But my wife & I was shocked as we entered to our room located on the 18th floor. The room was spacious and had honeymoon decor with customized chocolate bars written a happy birthday with my name and a congratulation notes on the other chocolate. There were also a plate of their local fruits and coffee and tea. Our bathroom also had a decoration as they put a flower in the lavatory and rose petals on our bath tub. Well this, made our first impression to the hotel was extremely amazing, because even we didn't close any deal, they still made my request without any charges, all complimentary. So took a rest with a wonderful welcome feeling. Their breakfast was in a buffet style with their local dishes. It was nice dining in the area as you can see local people walking along the highway. The hotel is accessible, you can choose to do the mrt, bus or taxi. On our last day, we did the City Tour, It was fun experience as we been to some tourist attraction like the PETRONAS TOWER,CHOCOLATE FACTORY, BATIK, NATIONAL MUSEUM, KING'S PALACE, NATIONAL HERO'S PARK. Overall, it was a great experience, and we'll surely choose to stay here again if we will visit the Kuala Lumpur again. Thank you.

Poorest customer service experienced yet.
Where to begin... OK. The check in.. Extremely inefficient. Could not give us a straight answer on a total and only gave us a receipt when pressed. Even asking for two cards ( 2 guests, duh!) was task for them. By far the worst part of this whole experience was the roof top bar. This was my third year at the Regency and boy, hasn't this part of the facility gone down hill. Warm coke with spirits, no availability on certain drinks until well after opening times, no ability to charge drinks to our room, despite having a 500MYR deposit for this very purpose, staff extremely slow, and upon ordering drinks, would hang around like flies instead of letting us pay upon leaving. Couldn't order food off the menu at the bar, despite the fact the kitchen is open 24hrs. Another issue which really gave me the S__ts ... The electronic door lock had to be changed. This meant that our keys no longer worked. They knew this and did nothing about it. So I called reception from the pool and asked them exchange them for our duds. This is what you would expect from a supposed 5 star hotel. Nope. Sat on the phone for 5 minutes before they answered, only to be told "ok, come down to reception'. And surprise surprise, I was stuck down there for 15mins. Service in the breakfast bar was bad as well. Understaffed. When all these issues were raised and we expressed our displeasure, nothing was done at all. Could not care less. The kicker for me was when a friend went to his room to sleep at 1am and reception had locked his card because he owed 150MYR at the pool bar, despite having his 500MYR deposit paid on his room. Shocking. So in short, if you want to be treated with respect, stay somewhere else.

Nice but outdated
Room very huge.I stay at deluxe room,thumbs up for that. Aircond is really super slow.done adjust the temp but still hot. No satellite TV,poor in reception. WiFi slow.not even can watch an YouTube. Really needs an upgrade. Not really can carry the regency brand. If you really don't mind you can stay here. But if you kind of details..think twice.

Spacious Room
Basically the hotel is very old already and it is situated right in front of a wet market. Hence, just when you exit the hotel, there is the market smell. There is some restaurant nearby. Check out one arabic restaurant name Suria same row as 7/11. The food is cheap and nice. There is Mydin and pharmacy nearby also. So if you left out something, you can buy it easily. The facilities is average. The reception is poor. The pool is facing KLCC. The room is spacious which makes me feel very comfortable. I personally like spacious room. Not much TV Channel available. The toilet is clean and good and bright. The AC is not functioning that well. The breakfast is ok. The wifi is very poor. The hotel is good if you just want a nicer, simple and spacious place to stay. If you are targetting to enjoy the hotel, this is kind of not the place.
