It was very nice to stay at the YMCA in Penang because it was very close to the hospital where I was treated (Island Hospital), so when I was waiting for a break for about 2 hours, I could also rest comfortably at the inn, affordable prices, clean, breakfast and good service. thanks. 😊

The journey will take about 3 hours and 57 minutes. The visitors will encounter tolls using this route.The alternative way is the tourists can choose to travel by plane. They can take a flight from Kuala Lumpur International Airport 2 (KLIA 2) or Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport. A tourism tax of MYR 10 per room per night is applied to all foreign guests. This tax is excluded from the room rates and must be paid upon check-in. Guests with a valid Malaysian Identity Card or valid permanent residents MY PR Card are exempted. Upon check-in, hotel Front Desk will collect from guests MYR 2.00 Local Government Fee per room per night (imposed by Penang Government starting from 1st June 2014). This fee is excluded from room rates. Strictly no-smoking in the room. Penalty (minimum MYR500.00 per room) will be imposed to guests who fail to adhere Hotel's Non-Smoking Policy. Alternatively, guests can smoke at public area. YCafe is closed on every Monday. You may be required to present valid government-issued identification at check-in, along with cash to cover the incidentals and deposits. This deposit will be fully refunded if there is no damage or abuse of facilities occurred among your stay. All special request such as early check-in, late check-out, higher floor, extra bed etc are strongly subject to availability. Guests are encouraged to contact hotel at least 24 hours before arrival. Charges may applied.

Subject: Complaint Regarding Room Conditions and Unfair Charges Dear [Hotel Manager / Traveloka} I recently checked into your hotel after moving from another property because I needed to be closer to the hospital. Unfortunately, my experience has been disappointing. 1. The air conditioning in my room does not cool properly, making my stay very uncomfortable. 2. I was asked to pay an additional charge simply because I am a foreigner. In all my past travels, I have never experienced such treatment, and I believe this practice is unfair and discriminatory. I chose your hotel expecting a comfortable and fair stay, but these issues have left me dissatisfied. I stayed for 5 days and 4 nights and rented two rooms. The accommodation was clean, quite spacious, cleaned daily, and the room type matched the pictures and description. Breakfast was fairly standard (only one or two food options, bread, and fruit), but it was enjoyable because the cook was an Indonesian. It's very close to the city center and everywhere else, especially for Island Hospital, which is very close, just 5 minutes away, and there's a bus stop right in front of the hotel. If you want to get around, using the bus is highly recommended. Grab is also perfectly fine, as it's not far from everywhere, especially to the Macalister area and the city center, and a Grab ride costs around RM8-12.

For those looking for accommodation close to Island Hospital without the hassle of transportation, this hotel is a great option. It's very close to Island Hospital; just a short walk and a short walk across the street will take you to the old Island Hospital. The new Island Hospital is about a five-minute walk away.

Subject: Complaint Regarding Room Conditions and Unfair Charges Dear [Hotel Manager / Traveloka} I recently checked into your hotel after moving from another property because I needed to be closer to the hospital. Unfortunately, my experience has been disappointing. 1. The air conditioning in my room does not cool properly, making my stay very uncomfortable. 2. I was asked to pay an additional charge simply because I am a foreigner. In all my past travels, I have never experienced such treatment, and I believe this practice is unfair and discriminatory. I chose your hotel expecting a comfortable and fair stay, but these issues have left me dissatisfied. I kindly request that you resolve the air conditioning issue immediately and review the additional charge applied to me as a foreigner. Thank you for your prompt attention.
