Overall this is a great cheap location. Second time staying here with kids 6,13,16 we are a familyof 5. The pool is good can get dirty at times but they do clean it every morning. The bus stops infront of the hotel on both sides of the road. You can take the R1 or the R2 red busses and they will take you to the hotel zone or to downtown. It really is a great location for a budget. The restaurant across the street next to the Oxo is great good food but they do take a while to get your food, but so worth it. And they close i think 11pm or midnight good alcohol good chill vibes and one of the only restaurants on that side. But by staying here we were able to do Xcaret and isla mujeres, the hotel doesnt offer airport shuttle but just book with happy shuttle it was like $60usd i believe. Have fun safe travels highly recommend staying here

Our First room had cockroaches. They moved us to another room after a brief conversation about it. No a huge deal just annoying. I did have to ask for them to clean the room but I think this was because we changed rooms . The food prices were extremely high in the restaurant and you didn't get much food. The beach has a lot of rocks and it is unsafe to swim with high waves. They charged me for a towel that I used to clean the salt spray off the cars windows so I could see and not die while driving. They told me I should have used something else. Nothing else was provided and I decided safety was more important than a towel. It was very quiet and the pool and beach area is nice.

Communication was horrible! I received an email a few days before my trip saying I didn’t pay my deposit, which was definitely paid a month before. Owner wouldn’t respond to emails or answer phone calls. Once I arrived at the property (very late at night) I was told I could only pay for the rooms in cash! Who arrives in Mexico in the middle of the night with $1000 in cash?!?! After about an hour of back and forth, I was able to pay for one night and then had to spend the following day walking from ATM to ATM (they only allow you to withdraw small amounts per day) trying to take out enough cash to pay for the room. It was absolutely ridiculous. Also, the rooms don’t have WiFi as advertised. Very uncomfortable beds and bedding. Don’t waste your time with amigo rentals. Save yourself the hassle and stay at a reputable hotel.

The views were fantastic. The desk clerks were very helpful. The location was relatively quiet. There is one major problem. Once you get to check in, they bring in a person who immediately tries to sell you one of their packages. Even after you tell them you are already booked online. Very pushy. The trip we booked with them was awful. The Chichen Itza package. We went to the Suytun Cenote 1st. We were there for 3 hours. This where we had lunch. It was ok. Buffet. We had to drag our wet clothes around that whole time. Then to Valladolid for 20 minutes. Needed more time there. Then we finally got to Chichen Itza. In the hottest part of the day. Not comfortable at all. By the time we got dropped off it was a 14 hour day and the wet clothes stunk.

The property is nice, but the room was not. The photos shown are not necessarily what you will get, certainly not what we got. We booked a unit with 1 king and 2 double beds, bu got a unit with one twin with a trundle underneath and 2 doubles. All beds had very thin mattresses that were not comfortable at all. The twin also was the "couch" for the room. The only other furniture was a table with chairs. Our unit had a loft for the double beds, and the stairs going up had a wobbly railing that was also very short. Dangerous for anyone, but especially for kids, as there were no balusters and plenty of space for one to fall. The room was cleaned twice in an entire week. The bathroom vent was so caked with dirt and lint that there was no air movement, and it never got dry after we showered the first time for the whole week. There was no drying line for wet swimwear. We booked a kitchenette expecting to cook some of our meals, but there was no pot to boil water, and the one frying pan was so warped it was nearly impossible to cook anything on it. The pizza in the restaurant was good. Everyone at the place was nice. The beach here is great, not crowded and a break keeps the surf down one one end for those who don't like big waves. The pool is also very nice, and the breakdown division of the deep and kid pools is very convenient for families with swimmers at different levels. If the room itself had been nicer and cleaned more often, I would think about returning.

This picture is of the only penthouse that they have. Our room was no where near this. water clogged in our bathroom, did not get warm water for showers. apparently they use boiler to heat the water and start boiler only for some time. I also took a long time to get hot (just warm) water to the shower. the water pressure in the shower was extremely low. no one came t fix it either despite asking. The property is really very old and i guess suffers from old plumbing. The property is actually cancun plaza. amigo rental is a third party, to get any changes , i had to connect with amigo rentals . Amigo rentals was very unresponsive and has no bias for customers. There was also a lizard in our room. Not recommended.

This particular condo is on the fifth floor of Cancun Plaza condominium with great view on the pool and the ocean. Pool is big and very kids friendly. Beach is two minutes walk downstairs from the pool. Restaurant serves basic food that can be better. I recommend renting a car and driving around Cancun and riviera Maya. Taxi and private transportation are too expensive and cumbersome to use. Parking in Cancun Plaza condo seems limited but we have had a parking space for our car every day.

I cannot get credited for 8 nights here because the hotel has no record of my stay. Despite what it says on Hotels.com, this hotel requires a 30% payment to reserve a room. The remaining 70% is due 10 days prior to arrival, unless you pay in cash, which we did, after inspecting the room. All in all, these are minor annoyances. Our stay was nice. This is a three star hotel that is borderline two star because the owners need to invest in maintenance, but peeling paint, slightly leaky pipes, loose knobs, small stains on sheets, etc. shouldn't distract you from the fact that this hotel is a great value. Our room was clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful. Our room, like all rooms, I believe, had an excellent view of the pool and ocean. The beach was spectacular, though the surf tends to be rough. This hotel is not all inclusive. Nearby hotel are, and their restaurants won't be open to you. Fortunately the hotel restaurant, Casa del Mar, is excellent. We tried other restaurants in the hotel zone, but this was the best! The menu has a good mix of Mexican and American dishes, healthy enough for my wife, with enough seafood for me. My kids loved their variety of salads, delicious pastas, & many types of pizza (cooked in their wood fired oven). Great, relaxed service! Every seat has an ocean view. Expect to pay 200 pesos (about $10 US) per person per meal without drinks. Only part of the menu is attached.

The view was amazing! The staff friendly and helpful. Our room was as pictured, but 2 double beds and a twin with pull out trundle, no king bed. You need to wash dishes, but no dish towels or even wash towels in the bathroom to do it. I just purchased paper towels. The pool is great and clean. Restaurant on sight is ok, prices are ok. Menu is limited. Beach is clean and plenty of places to sit. Buses stop in front of the property often and will take you most places, take american dollar bills!! A ride will cost you $1 us, for as far as you want to go. Taxi is way more. You get a card to get a beach towel. Where you go to get it will sell you excursions and offer discounts to do the “ time share” breakfast at another resort. Worth it if you can just keep telling the resort people you are not interested!! They will insult you, just keep saying no and get your discounted excursion. Overall, very nice vacation, affordable accommodations, just read fine print and do some research. I would recommend.

Worth it if you can just keep telling the resort people you are not interested!! They will insult you, just keep saying no and get your discounted excursion. Overall, very nice vacation, affordable accommodations, just read fine print and do some research. I would recommend.

I loved the Ocean view and the hotel staff. The room was exactly what we wanted.

This a condominium, bunch of rooms, the facility is located at zona hotelera, well connected with public transportation. My room described two double beds and a sofa bed, but at the end I had two doubles. My balcony was falling apart literally. Full of mold.
