Hotel Amomoxtli

This property is stunning — lush, peaceful, and honestly one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever stayed. The entire atmosphere feels like a little hidden paradise, so zen and relaxing that you instantly unwind the second you arrive. The staff could not be more accommodating. Every single person went above and beyond and made the whole experience feel personal and special. If you’re debating it at all, literally just book it. It’s an oasis.

Que mas se puede decir de Amomoxtli que no hayan dicho todos :)? es un paraíso en la tierra y los detalles que tiene el staff son incomparables. Desde el cafecito afuera de la habitación, las galletitas, el tour de la propiedad, el restaurante, etc. bueno todo. Excelente lugar y regresaremos pronto.

Amomoxtli is, without exaggeration, one of the best experiences I’ve had in my life and I’ve traveled quite a bit. Staying here was a completely random choice; we were on our way to a wedding in Jiutepec and decided to make a pit stop in Tepoztlán. It ended up becoming the highlight of our entire trip. From the moment you walk in, you feel an immediate sense of peace. The grounds are unbelievably beautiful, lush, serene, and thoughtfully designed. We stayed in a courtyard room, which made accessing the amenities so easy and convenient. Every morning, a little basket gets delivered to your door with coffee which quickly became my favorite part of the day. I looked forward to it every single morning!! We stayed for four days and booked massages and treatments on three of those days. They were some of the most incredible spa experiences I’ve ever had. Totally worth every penny. The only thing to do is that there is no gym, but honestly with all the hikes around you wont miss it.

This property is true relaxation and luxury! From the staff, to the food, to the spa services, everything was wonderful! I will certainly be returning and highly recommend.

Best spa ever! I recoment the spa, it was the best!

A view to die for. Wonderful, relaxing resort which is 5 stars. Rooms are spacious and private. Grounds perfectly maintained. Pool area nicely appointed. Restaurant provides local choices that are nutritious and tasty. Service is beyond excellent. Property is beyond perfect.

Service was hit or miss.

One of the most picturesque places I’ve been to. The staff is very attentive and friendly. The restaurant food is decent, not a foodie resort however. Other than that everything was amazing, the rooms were fantastic.

Unique wonderful place, surrounded by nature, well preserved, food, staff, yoga, meditation … will come again definitely

Really amazing weekend getaway. The hotel is amazing, the rooms are well appointed. The best hotel in Tepoz for sure. That said, they did mess up our spa requests (I was traveling with a man who is definitelyyyyy not my boyfriend and they gave us a couples massage with two women instead of separate ones with a male and female masseurs. The most intimate my male friend has ever been with a woman!) No matter. The food is good, the views are divine.

The landscape was extraordinary and the people beautiful.

We recently stayed at the Amomoxtli as part of a wedding event.  The resort is very private and has beautiful grounds and mountain vistas.  It is very relaxing and has outstanding service. Laying around the pool is like being pampered in a little piece of paradise with great music, food and drinks.  The rooms are charming and comfortable. The rain shower was amazing.   My wife unfortunately got sick after the wedding and the manager Maria Zaballa was terrific arranging for Ernesto, the head of security, and a medic to come to our room to check on her.  They also brought electrolyte drinks for her.  Later she arranged for Ernesto to drive us into town to see a doctor.  Ernesto stayed with us in town, helped interpret with the doctor, and brought us back to the resort.  The next day as we were preparing to leave, both Maria and Ernesto were very attentive and made our stay as pleasant as possible while my wife recovered.  I also had a hot stones massage at the spa which was one of the most skilled and best massages I have ever experienced. We want to especially thank Maria and Ernesto for their care, and to let others know that not only are the grounds, facility, dining, spa and service special, but the people working there really care about the experience of their guests and do everything they can to make it memorable.

Great resort to recharge and reenergize. Quiet and relaxing. The spa was wonderful; I enjoyed treatments daily.

Loved! Every step of the way Yoga, breakfast, the beautiful pool, the SPA!! Let’s not forget about your coffee dropped off at the door every morning, life saver! The staff was incredible Can’t wait to go back!!
