We enjoyed the greenery, the many seating areas, the pool, and the room. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The staff spoke English quite well and are so helpful with my learning of Spanish.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Posada Real. We've been coming to Mexico for a few years and usually stay over in La Penita (renting a house from a friend), so it was nice to spend a week in Guayabitos. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We especially would like to note how friendly and kind the woman was who cleaned our room. So nice! The closeness to the beach was our favourite thing. Location location location! The pool was always full of kids having a blast. So many happy families!

Check in was easy and we were given a very clean, corner room 221 that overlooked the quiet lane, half a block from the ocean. The room was a decent size with 2 double beds, a dining table, 4chairs, a cold fridge, great TV, a hot shower and a delightful balcony. There was a nice dresser and closet space for even more storage. The front desk helped me many times with info re the wifi or the buses or directions around town. Anna, our cleaning woman was very thorough and respectful when we asked her not to clean on a few days. The location of Posada Real is superb with many restaurants and shops nearby. The beach is 2 minutes away if you walk very slowly. The ambience is efficient, polite, Mexican hospitality. I look forward to returning.

Do not stay here. Hotel is run down, dirty, and inaccurately portrayed online. We stayed the first of six nights and had to leave. Expedia would not refund us any money even though we had free cancellation.

This place is very basic, but good for the price. The staff was nice and helpful. But this is an older property and there are NO 3 prong plugs, so bring an adapter. Also, didn't like the fact that I had to pay for instant coffee.

Friendly, helpful staff ready to meet our needs. Brought us a fridge upon request. Moved us to a larger, brighter room after the first two days. Nice little restaurant & bar on site. Great breakfast! Unfortunately there is no furniture at poolside, so no place to sit and dry off after you go for a dip. However, our only real complaint rests with Hotels.com because we booked the room many months ahead of time for $33 CAD per night; but when we arrived, we were charged $33 USD per night--a significant difference--and there was no way to correct the problem at the hotel.
