Hotel Lawrence d'Arabie

Great stay, 300 steps or so from the train station, spacious and clean room, air con/ heating worked without issues, shower was great with very good pressure. Staff were super friendly and professional. Pool was clean, and breakfast was decent. Would come back again insha'Allah.

The Front Desk service was average. They were not very keen at assisting. The rooms are basic but fine although our room was not serviced during our stay (5 days). The safe was not working and there were no attempt to fix it by the property. The breakfast is ok, but no fresh food available (fruits). The spa was good, great service and friendly. If you are looking for a basic hotel, with a pool, walking distance to many places this is a good choice. We were charged the stay taxes in Euro ($4 Euros per day) by the hotel although Expedia quoted it in Australian dollars (AUD $20), therefore, cost was much higher due to the exchange rate.

We had a problem in our first room with the shower, they eventually fixed it then it broke again and they fixed it again. The air con box was on the balcony, which blew hot air and when its 30+ degrees out side it was a no no plus it would be dangerous for little fingers. We were moved to another room after 2 days, air con didnt work properly till day before we left, tv didnt work, handle on shower broke and frame on door coming off, again dangerous to little handles. Had electric shock of the one lamp and the other was like a disco. Everything was reported to reception

Room was pretty basic but staff was friendly and helpful.

Could not get the AC to work

Nice historic property. Good value for money. Rooms bit dated and not sound proof. Great breakfast but cold - fortunately had a toaster / microwave to heat - technically a buffet but has restrictions - the guy adjacent to me was pretty upset when he was refused a second one egg omellette. Which I found was a bit picky on the part of the hotel particularly when they offer a buffet. The omellete was set up and even offered later in the breakfast period with some missing it.

Amazing hotel!! In the hotel you have a restaurant + pool, it was super nice! Be aware the hotel offer no currency conversion and you will have to pay a city tax.

The staff was not very helpful and seemed annoyed when asked for assistance. I was accused of taking food from the free buffet by the attendant. When asked for an apology I received none. Just rude. And it wasn't just me with issues. Other guests had disagreements with staff. I will never return or recommend this hotel.

The concierge was very friendly .. he shared he lost 4 family members in the earthquake near Merrakech .. told him soo sorry .. the room and amenities are great .. pool on hot Africa days definitely a plus …breakfast was included in my price 42 US dollars a night not bad at all . The bed was comfy with big pillows .. A/C worked fine ..,my only complaint is the shower is raw cement .. no tiles .. looks like public park locker room shower in Chicago where I’m from …and won’t be impressive to female clients … other than that enjoyed my stay .. and after checkout they held my overnite bag free of charge til I came back from my tour … 4/5 stars

The people were very nice, but I asked for clean towels and toilet paper for 2 days, the first explanation he gave me was that he was the only one at the front desk and couldn't do it, I waited for another day and asked again and then someone gave me what I requested. They could do better

Everything was just OKay, place was okay for a short stay, pool area was nice, they were always cleaning the area, staff were Okay, desk staff did not give a warm welcoming when we arrived. The one thing that really annoyed us was the housekeeping staff, they did not clean our room until 1630-1700 everyday. The breakfast was ok, but if your not eating carbs you will not find anything to eat. The coffee was horrible, the mint tea was good. Not sure if I would stay again

Unfortunately they had no record of my Expedia booking and Expedia had to step in so that myself and my children had somewhere to sleep. The reception staff were somewhat apologetic and paid the city tax as a gesture of good will, but could have handled it better from the start - it took all night to resolve, leaving me uncertain of where we would stay for the rest of the week, and the manager didn't seem concerned and snapped at me for taking my time to read the invoice / use the card machine when Expedia unexpectedly refunded my prepayment (largely due to the time taken for the hotel to resolve the prepaid booking dispute.) I booked the junior suite and several things were not working or ill thought out. The hairdryer and TV weren't working and there is no light switch or charger beside the bed, meaning I had to use my phone torch to get into bed after turning out the main light. The blue power button of the air con shines down on the bed all night and can't be switched off. The room was only made up every other day, and dry towels had to be requested in the interim. Breakfast was good and the decor in the communal areas is wonderful. Costs about £5 each way to the centre, so would stay more centrally next time.

Mohammed at the front desk is wonderful. He helped direct me to the bus and a good restaurant when I needed. The rest of the staff was very friendly including the breakfast buffet server and bell hop who carried my bags to my room. Very lovely time. They are happy to welcome tourists.

Wow ! This was our third hotel during a tour of Morocco. For the price point it’s amaZing. Very dark rooms and great AC unlike some of the others we stayed in . Downstairs had a very boutique like feel thestaff were friendly and helpful
