I would definitely stay here again. The hosts Irene and Pascual are excellent. They gave me a map of the town and he met me at the drop off and escorted me to the Riad. The Riad is clean and staff friendly. I give it 5 stars. The Riad is close to everything only minutes away. Thanks for everything. 🤗

We stayed for 3 nights in January in one of the romantic suites. Pascal was helpful in orienting us to the medina, and in coordinating our airport pickup and dropoff with Hassan (also friendly and with good conversational English). The room was nicely furnished, comfortable bed, and our breakfasts in the internal courtyard with birds flying about was charming. We only had contact with Irene a couple times; perhaps Pascal is more comfortable speaking English than she is. I would recommend this riad.

The riad was beautiful, the owners and staff were wonderful, and the breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented. The riad is in the Medina and some of the surrounding buildings appeared to have been damaged in the 2023 earthquake and have yet to be repaired. Also, some of the passages nearby were dark and in the process of being improved, but we never felt unsafe in the surrounding area. We felt like we were guests in a royal palace!

We were met by Pascal, riad owner, by the closest city gate. He showed us the 200m route to the riad. Upon opening the door to the property, we were amazed at the contrast! A beautiful entrance area welcomes you to a home set around a lovely courtyard furnished with three bistro style tables & chairs. This outside area has trees, terracotta pots of plants, small birds flying around & a lovely tiled water feature. A bedroom on one side, dining room & lounge the other, and a kitchen on the third side. Stairs which lead to the first floor with four further bedrooms - two large and one smaller overlooking the courtyard, another smaller with a street view. There are also seated areas overlooking the courtyard. The room that we stayed in - Essaouira Suite - was a good size with plenty of space, large bed, two armchairs & low table, sideboard, wardrobe with hangars and a stand for suitcase. Beautiful soft furnishings and rugs covering the tiled floor, windows and glazed door overlooking the courtyard. A/C to heat or cool. The ensuite shower room was a good size although no shower enclosure meant the floor got wet. More stairs to rooftop terrace. Sunbeds, sofas, tables & chairs. Ample bkfst of yoghurt, fruit, rolls & varied pastries/pancakes. An ancient city is always going to have its challenges re conditions and cleanliness - having said this I witnessed many people sweeping the pathway outside their property & many damping down to prevent dust. Lovely staff. We would revisit.

Stayed in double room which was clean, had air conditioning, shower room and hairdryer. Towels were clean but had seen better days. Zakia and Abdou, who manage the Riad, were amazing. They were always available, helpful and made us feel like we were staying in their home. Continental style breakfast was provided and we had an evening meal at the Riad which was delicious. We loved the roof top terrace. The Riad is within walking distance of the souks but far enough away to be fairly quiet. A taxi was organised to pick us up and take us to the airport which worked well and was a reasonable price. The Riad is not accessible by cars but we were accompanied both ways by Zakia on the the short walk to and from the taxi. If you want an authentic Riad experience, Riad Irene is definitely one to consider.

Very much enjoyed our stay at Riad Irene. There was nothing to find fault with in our acomodation, the room & bathroom were superb, bedroom spacious, the decor & furnishing were lovely & the bed was super comfy. We very much enjoyed the breakfast every morning. The owner Pascal was very helpful as it was our first visit to Marrakech, providing us with a guide book, map & some recommendations of good places to eat as the riad was only serving breakfast during our stay & not evening meals. The location is a little tricky to find if you are new to the city but as Pascal arranged our taxi to & from the airport this was not a problem for us. We only got lost one night try to finding our way back after dark but that all part of the charm of being in the Medina.

We had a lovely stay at Riad Irene, it is well appointed to discover the northern side of the Medina, it’s about a 15 minute walk from the start of the souks, through a maze of twisting back streets, you can also easily navigate within the city walls to reach many fascinating monuments and travel highlights from restaurants to Hammams to local vendors and tours. We really enjoyed our stay.

What a gem! Everything was perfect. The owners Pascal and Irene are professional, kind and go out of their way to ensure guests have an amazing stay. It’s all the little things that make this place so special. The attention to detail in the decor, the cleanliness of the whole place, Zakia and Abdou the diligent and caring staff and the quality of the food just a few things to mention. I would recommend you book a dinner there. The clientele that visits are also quality and everyone so friendly and considerate. The room itself is exactly as described and the quality of the bed is fantastic. Lots of space and a very nice bathroom with a powerful shower and hot water 24/7. I will definitely visit again and highly recommend this place.

Breakfast was great, pancakes and jams, bread rolls, the freshest orange juice and coffee or tea however you like it. Abdul met us at the entrance to the medina and walked us back as it was dark, we were met with mint tea which was amazing. Zakia cooking is great, we had a 3 course meal with wine in the dining room & she went the extra mile with candles and rose petals on the table. Nothing was too much trouble, they organised a taxi to pick us up and take us back to the airport, gave us a map of how to get to the square etc. we would definitely stay here again, it’s so quiet from the hustle and bustle from outside.

Pay attention to land markers (for me it was a pair of white cats) or you will lose yourself in maze of medina. Beware of local children- they will badger you and offer help, just politely decline. Food and shopping closeby at pl. Larouss but try out stalls outside medina gate for shopping and food if you're adventurous.

The Riad Irene is really beautiful. Better than the photos. The people who work there are really nice and helpful. We only ate breakfast at the riad so cannot comment on their other food. My wife and myself both really enjoyed our stay. However, my wife did comment that she would not have felt safe returning to the Riad alone at night. It is difficult to find but we pinned it on google maps, which helps. In the small dark alleys around the riad, you do get youths hanging around and they were never any bother to us as a couple, but I can understand a solo female feeling nervous. That said, if you are a couple or male I would highly recommend staying here. Easy to walk everywhere which keeps the cost down, and it is very atmospheric and truly Moroccan.

We enjoyed our stay in the riad a lot. The house is absolutely beautiful with its decor, room was spacious, comfortable and clean, and we loved the roof top terrace to stay in the evenings. Zakia prepares a decicious abundent breakfast while Abdou made us the greatest Morrocan mint tea I’ve had during the whole stay. We also booked taxi from the airport through the riad which is worth to do. The little details that you need to consider if you are picky: the riad is not at the very city centre, it is just at the end of the medina and among small rounded streets, this was a good walk for us but not everyone would like. Also, we didn’t get to meet the owners and while really helpful, the stuff is not fluent in English so communication was basic.
