The riad cancelled my reservation the night of the stay. They did nothing to help me find new accommodation. This ruined my evening as I missed a dinner with friends and wasn’t able to get into another hotel until very late.

This riad has just changed ownership, so they were in the process of renovating the property during my stay. The first room I was in was gorgeous and large, but immediately off the common courtyard/dining area and was loud and did not feel private. They were kind enough to allow me to move to a more secluded room upstairs which was small but perfect. The staff were extremely sweet and welcoming, helpful in making recommendations for activities, making meals, helping with transport, etc. This was my experience with a few different riads in Marrakech. The location is ideal because it is close to the action but in a quiet side alley, also near an ATM and food. For a mid-range riad it was perfect.

I'd highly recommend this Riad. Hassan was extremely helpful prior to our arrival. Upon arrival everything was ready for us as we had pre-booked excursions. We were given advice on accessing the souks and Jemaa el-Fna. Along with tips about getting around and what was near by. It made our stay very easy. The rooms are lovely, breakfast daily and the pre-booked excursions were exceptional. We chose to go to the Sahara, the hammam and on the city walking tour it was all very enjoyable. The trip to the Sahara was incredible although a bit exhausting as its quite a long distance across the mountains which were also beautiful. Overall we had an amazing trip and I attribute this in large part to our stay at Riad Jonan

I enjoyed my stay at Riad Jonan. It was different from the typical hotel because it was in the Old Medina of Merrakech. You are surrounded by the cultural vibe, amazing food, and true Moroccan lifestyle. The Riad was clean and welcoming. Abdou who was the caretaker was very welcoming. He treated me like a brother and made sure I was well accomodated to. He even woke up earlier to serve me breakfast because I had a train to catch. Usually breakfast is at 830am, but he served it to me for 715am because I had to leave. My experience there was great and I have no regrets, I most definitely recommend this Riad and would personally stay there again. Thank you Riad Jonan! :)

We had a great stay at Riad Jonan. It was very good value despite being a 3* hotel. The hot/cold ample breakfast was served at your table (not buffet/eat as much as you like). It included orange juice, tea/coffee, bread/cakes and a choice of hot and cold main dishes including eggs, cereal, and fruit with yogurt. We managed to get a free updgrade to a superior room which was more spacious than a standard room and included a mini bar/fridge but no TV. A deluxe room is also available which is more spacious and includes a TV. The hotel can arrange airport transfers at an extra cost if required, or you can just pick up a taxi from the airport. The riad was clean and very tastefully decorated in the morrocon style of ceramics. The service from the staff (Hassan, Abdul & Yasin) was superb, who are very helpful in giving advice, planning your days and booking visits for some of the attractions. The private Hammam booked through the hotel was very local and superb but quite expensive. We booked an expensive one-night trip to the Atlas Mountains, Sahara Dessert which included a camel ride, dinner and simple basic breakfast with a stay in a tent. The trip was quite tiresome and most of the time was spent travelling to and from the edge of the Sahara dessert. I would suggest a day trip to the Atlas Mountains only.
