I've stayed in many hotels in Thamel, and I found Hotel Buddha Land to be the best value. The staff is super friendly and helpful and the rooms are nice and clean and comfortable. Also the hot water, AC, and WIFI are all super reliable, which is hard to find in Thamel. I highly recommend Hotel Buddha Land!

The hotel is located in a very peaceful and calm area. Traffic noise is zero. Rooms are clean. Water was available 24 hours a day including hot water. Staff behaviour is very good too. Mr.Vesh, Mr.Shankar and the cook who makes breakfast, Mr.Chander, all of them are soft spoken and well behaved.

This is a nice hotel off the main roads of Thamel. Just a street behind Jaytha Marg. The staff is terrific. Always smiling, always obliging; from directions to suggestions to arrangements. Rooms are smallish but comfortable and clean. The air con works great if not for the frequent power cuts. Hot showers are consistent though. Lastly, and I have to say it again; the staff is terrific!

For the price, location, and staff, this hotel is perfect. There were a couple minor issues "No Hot Water" for one morning, but everything else was great. The staff always have a smile, and willing to help. I would definitely return to this hotel.

We landed in kathmandu airport and we contacted the hotel for pickup . The staff spoke to the taxi person and paid the charges. The hotel is clean and the price seems to be competitive as per the prevalent rates in the thamel area. The staff is very cooperative and gave very valuable advice for sightseeing and stay at pokhara. Overall we had a very pleasant experience and I will recommend the hotel to my friends.

No power 16 hours per day, very tired old furnishings, located on a dirt alleyway in thamel. If it rains the street becomes a big mud puddle also did not feel safe at all after dark. The staff are very nice but the owner will want to meet with you twice a day to hard sell you tour packages. Breakfast is very good but also another opportunity to give you a high pressure sales pitch. You can do better.

When it comes to service, nothing beats this hotel. The manager and all the staff were well-mannered, friendly and highly helpful. They assured us of every help and delivered on it. And everything with a wide welcoming smile on their faces. The hotel is situated in a by-lane in Jyatha, Thamel. So, while you are literally one minute's walk away from the restaurants and bars and shops, you are also in the midst of very low noise and can sleep peacefully. The rooms are clean, there is continuous hot water and though Kathmandu suffers from frequent power cuts, you will have constant light as the hotel has its own generator. Every room has a flat screen tv with a large number of English and sports channels. The hotel provides free breakfast - bread, jam, butter, tea or coffee, eggs to order, fruit juice, bananas and sometimes a vegetable curry. They also make pancakes if you want free of charge. In fact, they will give you juice, tea and coffee completely free as many times as you want. The hotel has free wi-fi, but even if you don;t have a laptop with you, you can use the computer and internet at the lobby free of charge. The manager also arranges for all travel plans including bookings for cars (for sightseeing or for going to other cities), buses and flights.
