Majestic Hotel (formerly Octagon Mansion Hotel)

The room is so tiny especially the bed. I booked a double bed but the one we stayed at is tiny good for one person only. Never going back there at will not recommend to anyone

Quite and close to the Robinson Mall

Clean, all utilities worked, staff was friendly, food was above average. Probably the only con is that washroom was a bit tight. if you are a big guy you should consider getting the bigger room.

Actually i am just letting you know that i did not stay at the Octagon Hotel as it is a quarantine hotel only . You might want yo remove this hotel , or at least make that fact known. PS. In its place i was put up at its sister hotel the Palm Grove hotel 50 metres down the road.

The neighborhood is great place to party and meet new friends. Cheap food and drinks on the Room Service. However, the room is small.

Good location but the hotel was more like a hostel with a small narrow room.

This hotel’s name was changed to Octagon Hotel and is no longer Hostel 1632. The staff are excellent. The manager -Gwen super responsive and is always visible and available if needed. The rooms are average but nicely kept. WiFi weak in the rooms but strong in the lobby. The coffee shop offers good coffee. There’s a club close-by playing loud music all night till 5am including week days. If you are in the rooms to the back, this is an issue. This hotel is one block away from a shopping mall. It’s about 30-45 minutes from the airport. The shuttle provided by the hotel is expensive than uber or taxi. We took it because we were a big part with a lot of luggage. The experience here was good and I’d stay again if I don’t need to have sound sleep.

Hotel is in a good area very close to Robinson’s Mall and the Bay.

i have been a repeat/frequent visitor of the hotel. its proximity to the mall and other govt. offices is a plus for me. its always my hotel of choice. the places i need to go to is just within walking distance.though its a little “cramped” but its okay with me. the cleanliness and the service makes up for it. im only a little disssatisfied with the hotel car which i booked, though. the vehicle was not presentable enough. the fact that i was willing to pay 5x more than what it’s worth paying with grab taxi for a trip to commonwealth, qc, the hotel staff who booked the car should have exerted more effort to look for a better vehicle.

literally last minute booking had a problem checking in because they cant find my reservation end up paying for a room until my reservation was confirmed and that they will return my payment before i check out. . . had a problem checking out because as i understand with their staff is the one in charge is out for lunch so had to wait for almost 30 mins just to check out and get the money i paid the night before. the good: bed is comfy and the shower heater works. clean, strong wifi, walking distance to almost anywhere in malate. the bad: tiny room. . . very cramp bathroom, limited parking space

Hotel has been much improved. I have spent a night or two there every three months. The property has changed fropm OK to good.

I booked & paid by my credit card almost a month before my stay BUT they gave me a worst room, rejected other guests because no signal for my mobile network. My family & friends can not contact me as well as me to them. I still went out of my room and stayed long hours on their fire exit stairway to get some network signal. Their wifi connection sucks too. Its telling connected but not connected at all. Or very weak signal. I was not able to rest and sleep good because I keep going out from my room and stayed to their fire exit stairway to be able to contact my loved ones.

Location was good because it's near Robinson mall, and more restaurant around the corner. For me it's just like an ordinary room without slipper.
