Close to downtown without the noise. The check in was easy and quick. I appreciated key codes instead of carrying a card. The shower was nice. Everything seemed pretty new and taken care of. They have a good late check out policy that was appreciated. The road leading in is a little weird. No lowriders.

Amazing hotel, bit out from the centre but lovely and quiet. Very pleasant staff and an amazing breakfast. The bed was so comfy and the room very clean indeed. Tram into town 5 mins walk away and a small supermarket within easy walking distance.

Good rooms. Owner very helpful and helped booking ferries during hard conditions due to Ukrainian war. Really recommend this place.

Nice place for staying - friendly staff, comfortable bed. We arrived quite late about 10 pm and hot water was an issue, so the kids had to take a quick cold shower before going to bed, which was quite unpleasant for them. My husband and I waited for about 1,5 hours to take a bath. I liked the place though - pretty quiet and we had a very good rest.

The only issue was the about the location, in the app was saying 1 mile from town but we 2.2 miles from the town to get to the Hotel even you have to take a around a hundred stairs to get to the Hotel’s steet

Upon arrival we were met by a friendly receptionist who explained that we were being upgraded free to the master suite and the room was being cleaned and prepared, this was no longer than 30 minutes wait. The room was fantastic and spacious arranged over two levels albeit we only used the lower level. The bed is a double which looks small in the huge space but was amazingly comfortable. There was a fridge in the room and a spa bath. The room was on the top floor with no lift so for some this may be a concern but didn’t bother us. All encounters with the staff were excellent and they were always friendly, with even the chambermaid being smiley and saying good day. Some reviews have commented on the distance to the town ( long walk up a big hill) and we walked it once which took some 30 minutes, however the hotel staff pointed out the nearby tram stop and gave us a free map. The trams are very frequent (every few minutes) and take 3 minutes into town, we alighted after two stops at Centrum by the shopping centre and walked from there. All in all it was a very pleasant stay, quiet, relaxed and convenient. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel as it was 30 PLN per head, instead we opted to breakfast in town which was circa 15 PLN each.

This was clean and nice. breakfast was very good. check in easy and they spoke fairly good English. We had seen on some website featuring this hotel that there was a hot tub. I was so looking forward to it after a long day but when we got there we found there was not a hot tub. Apparently 2 rooms have a jacuzzi tub. we did not get one of those rooms. We ended up with public transportation as the couple who were coming with us and renting a car backed out because of virus fears. With public transportation it is a 15 min walk up a hill with many steps-after a trolley ride.

royal residence review •room wasnt ready at 2pm to check in so had to wait until 2.30pm (even though online check in states 2pm) there was nobody else even staying in the hotel! •wifi didn't work on many occasions which was frustrating •there was a few hangers but nowhere to hang clothes which defeated having them in the first place. •no coffee/tea in the room but was a kettle, cups and sugar? •I presume nobody else was staying here because it was a building site, all maintenance work was going in outside and inside the building which was extremely noisy throughout my stay. •people drilling/sawing at early hours of the morning which was extremely loud and woke me up. there was no care for the customers and I was very disappointed my stay. •finally compared to the photo's I seen online of their hotel, my hotel room was nothing a like! all 84 photos show the hotel as it appears online and not in reality. I have attached photo's below, compare them yourself to the ones shown by the hotel themselves.

Affordable and good staffs in the hotel. Easy to locate and friendly staff

I recommend staying in room number 2. The hotel staff are very friendly and you are very close to Gdansk central

Stay at the hotel was plesent and staff very helpful, communication good. Brakefast was very limited for non meat eaters. Parking not so good. Enjoyed my stay and if I return I would stay there again. Hotel signs would be better placed.

The first problem with this hotel was getting to it. The location is only reached along a narrow, twisting and very bumpy track which was uncomfortable even an “all road”car. Parking is on the street and public transport is a significant walk away. The hotel is converted from one or more houses, no lift. The stairs were being decorated so we lugged our cases up two flights avoiding plastic sheeting and wet paint. The bedroom was large, clean and comfortable which was fine. No evening meal, so we walked half a mile down the hill to a restaurant. In the morning the breakfast room was small and overcrowded with a limited buffet. The highlight was that one of the legs fell off our table! When we told the staff they said “Yes, we know, we’ll fix it later”! I’ve had worse hotel experiences - but not for many years!

Nice hotel with a warm and friendly welcome. Staff friendly and helpful. The hotel is located in a quiet location. About a twenty five minute walk to the old town. But taxis are cheap at about thirty zloty.

Located in a largely residential area this hotel has few amenities nearby but more than makes up for this when you are enjoying the quiet in your well decorated, very spacious room. For such accommodation only a twenty minute walk from the town center the prices are fantastic!

room was great. EXCEPT for wifi. very weak connection, slow internet. couldn't get my work done.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Royal Residence. A bit outside Gdansk centre but there's a great tram service close by and taxis aren't bad. Accommodation was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great. I would definitely recommend to others. Thanks to the Royal Residence staff for making me so welcome.

Stayed here before, Nice Hotel and Good Location as well, only 10 min walk to either the Bus or Tram stop.. Or 15 walk to Station and the town.. Will stay here again

The hotel was nice, with excellent staff and was like 20 min walking to the old town. The are was quite.

That was my first staying in the Residence. Quiet area, clean and comfortable place. Very convenient. Close to public transport and Airport. Nice and friendly staff. Very helpful. Good and reach breakfast - full of choices. Shame, there is no Restaurant, but on the other hand it's close to town, so easy to eat out.
