The breakfast was great, the service was excellent, amazing area, lots of restaurants, museums, heritage sites, gardens, and stores close by. The rooms themselves are cozy and cute: showers, private toilette, sink, and she provided a charging converter. Cake, tea, and water readily available. Be prepared for a lot of stairs. 10/10 stay. No AC.

The best place if you want to visit Quinta da Regaleira, Pena Palace and Moorish Castle. Steps away from restaurants and shops. The bus stop is right next to the hotel. The service received was the best of all the hotels visited in Portugal. They helped us with everything, from before we arrived with specific instructions. The breakfast was very good. They kept our bags before and after check in so we felt comfortable visiting Cascais as well and returning to the hotel for our bags. The room was super comfortable and very nice. I would definitely stay at Aguamel again.

Wonderful location in the heart of Sintra with easy access to the trail to the Castle and Palace. The room was one of the nicest we stayed in during our trip to Portugal. Perfect!
We Uber'd and would not recommend bringing a rental car to Sintra.

Literally the best location. Right up the street from the city center, right off the main street to either get a ride to pena palace or at the start of the hiking trail. 8 minutes from Quinta de Regaleria. And on top of that the staff was incredibly friendly, the room had was super spacious and they had the best complementary breakfast we ever had and complementary cake! Highly recommend.

Incredible location in the middle of all the restaurants and shops, easy pickup/drop off for taxi/uber/bolt super close, 10 minute walk to Quinta da Tegaleira and Initiation Well, 5 minute walk to National Palace, pretty much across the street from the trail/path to the Moorish Castle which was about 45 minutes up. Lovely complementary light breakfast until noon (fresh fruit, ham, prosciutto, cheeses, cereal, yogurt, bread, croissants, cakes, juices, coffee, tea). The host is so nice and knowledgeable and helpful. The room was gorgeous. Very spacious. Balcony and window that open to let in a beautiful breeze. One of the comfiest beds I’ve ever slept in. I can’t say enough good things about this boutique hotel. Book it! You won’t regret it.

The location is near the free parking lot if you are lucky to find one at right time. We arrived just a few minuses after the check in time. The door was locked. No one there. I have to use my cell phone to make International call on the numbers on the door. No one answer the call until I called 2nd phone number on the door. She gave me the code to go in. This supposed a guest house but the hostess do not bother to shows up to let guests in. It does not feel that guests are welcomed.
