Auchrannie Resort

Called over to island for a telecoms fault , due to time i had missed last ferry , looked on hotels.com and only property available was Auchrannie at £310 per night With no choice i booked it but i fail to see where the £310 price tag comes from , the bath did not hold water and the tv did not work , will not be recommending it to others

Wonderful property, pools, rooms, gym and food. Had a lovely stay in a beautiful part of the world.

We stayed in a ground floor room in the main resort and had a person in the room above constantly walking around for over an hour in the evening and the morning from 7am. The floorboards in the resort are very creeky and there appears to be no sound proofing between them. I wore headphones and is still sounded like there was a thunderstorm going on.

Fabulous, and would love to go back. Regret only booking 1 night, especially seeing the onsite activities available.

The hotel was great. Lots to do for the children, beautiful location and surroundings. The staff were all warm and friendly. But the room above us was exceptionally noisy; we complained on our first night but the noise didn’t stop. If the bedroom had been quieter it would have been perfect!

I stayed at the resort for one night. Everyone should know that the advertising is not accurate. There is no hot tub in the spa and there are no additional amenities such as ropes and shower shoes. It’s quite slippery so be careful! Also for some strange reason, you’re charged a pound to use the locker which feels ridiculous after paying so much money for a room and so few amenities at a spa. In the room, there’s no bottled water. There’s also no store on the properties. I bought a bottle of water at the restaurant and it was 7 pounds. Nearly the cost of a cheap bottle of wine! Resorts in this price range are usually more inclusive of basic needs. If you have children that need space to run around this is a good place but if you’re an adult looking to have a luxurious stay, this is not the place.

Beautiful rooms, exceptionally clean and great dining options. Nice venue for girls catch up, we had 2 twin rooms.

Excellent stay at Auchrannie. Staff were helpful and the rooms were spotlessly clean.

This is a nice hotel with very good staff,unfortunately my stay was ruined because I could hear every step that the guest in the room above was taking. Really,that is unacceptable at this price level.

Great stay, room was excellent and the food in both restaurants was top notch..

Excellent service allround

We had a very relaxing time here. Accommodation was very comfortable, staff very friendly and food amazing.

Had very good short break. Staff very attentive. Whole hotel kept very neat and tidy. Rooms well oresented

Overall, it was a good stay. It's in a lovely area of the island, with some beautiful views. The staff were all friendly and courteous. I don't know how else to describe it other than it does feel like a 4-star resort when you're walking around it, etc. The restaurant food is good, but not amazing. There is a weirdly limited menu, and some of the items on some dishes don't quite go. The breakfast is good, but the potato scones are far too rubbery (3 days in a row) It's expensive for what you're getting in reality. The rooms are clean, but basic. The shower we had didn't extend, I feel this is a basic thing to add - especially for people with limited mobility - instead of just having an overhead. The bath was also rather narrow, and the ceilings were low, so I wouldn't like to be 6ft+ standing in the narrow bath. The bedroom doors need to be further soundproofed. If you stay on the 1st floor of the spa resort, you'll be able to hear everyone very clearly walking past and opening corridor doors. It's quite annoying, truthfully. Also, you can hear everyone's footsteps very clearly above you. For £200+ per night, I'd expect some discounts or something else included in my stay; you pay for absolutely everything else. I am not quite sure why the spa couldn't be discounted at least 10% on some treatments, or soft drinks are cheaper, etc. It would feel like you're getting some of the 'VIP' treatment compared to day visitors, especially for the price per night.

Would highly reccomend, already looking at booking our next trip back.

Fantastic stay in the magical Auchrannie in all its festive glory. Relaxing spas, sumptuous food and quaint walks round the grounds were the highlights. Thoroughly recommend.

Absolutely perfect for our wedding day & night. Unfortunately as it was such a busy time we didn't get to use the hot tub, fire pit. But would definitely recommend staying longer and making use of facilities.
