I booked this properly as it was only 15 minutes back To the airport drop off for my hire car following a 2 week holiday to Scotland, including Edinburgh and the Scottish Highlands. The room, bar and restaurant were all right next to each other which was convenient and I was suprised how quiet it was when sleeping which was great.
The staff that served me at the reception and restaurant were all very polite, friendly and efficient and there was a good choice of meals on the menu.
The property is not too far from Edinburgh and the airport but in the close by area there is not much to do near close by to the hotel.

The room smelt of stale smoke. When I reported it, the staff were dismissive and handed me a can of spray. The food in the adjoining restaurant was overpriced and a very ordinary standard.

Room was terrible. No soap or gel in bathroom. Door to bathroom was very hard to open and close. It looked like a new floor was put down but door was not adjuster to fit new floor. Will say towles were great big and fluffy.

Avoid booking!!!! Failed to deliver what a standard bathroom of hotel should provide - poor condition with no toiletries, water cannot be gone in bathing area, your foot will just keep soaking in the dirty water. Didn't meet the criteria of what they list out. Tried to ask for staff's assistance but they just said nothing can help with. What a nightmare to stay in this 'hotel'.

Hotel was nice for my stay. Its a bit outdated but overall nice quiet area. Didnt know that the reception area did not open until check in time at 2pm and it was disappointing after being delayed and not being able to checkin but let me tell you. Im so sorry i didn't get the receptionist/maids name but she saw us outside and opened up just to let us in. Thats called Great Customer Service. Plus she checked on us and made sure we settled in. Thank you to her.

No staff around to complain, and the one I did speak to did not care. Wet carpet in room, obviously from issue in bathroom where water not draining away. A terrible place in a terrible area.

Our trip was to visit friends and we booked here to be close to them however the room was small and basic the bed wasn’t very comfortable and we didn’t see any reception staff except the trainee on our first day. Only the cleaners. It felt like a hostel with us having to lock the door when we left our room instead of an electric lock. And having a key pad to get in and out of the block. It was clean but our towels wasn’t changed for the 3 nights we stayed. Also our view was a block of residential flats straight across so we had our blind down all the time for privacy. Disappointed overall. And no breakfast at the hotel.

Windows need replaced could hear everything all night and didn’t sleep at all. You have to push the bathroom door open over the uneven floor which makes a horrendous noise. Place is quite dirty looking.
