Queensferry guest house

We chose this spot because we needed a place to stay that was close to the Edinburgh airport but not in actual Edinburgh. The pictures do not depict the current condition of the “cottage”. It’s much “rougher” inside than what you see on Expedia. The futon beds were very uncomfortable. Spiders in the corners of the bathroom as well as in the shower. Toilet paper roll holder won’t keep the roll on it because it’s tilted down toward the floor and the toilet wobbled while you sat on it. If you’re up for an adventure….this is the place for you.

Well…it was easy to achieve a cold shower!

This was a one night stay. There were several restaurants within walking distance. The room was quite small but that was ok with us. It was close to a train stop making it easy to get to the airport. The breakfast was minimal.

Booker beware. I shouldn’t have expected what I did for this property given the rating and the price. However despite stating online check in is until 6am with a 24 hour front desk it was a hassle (30 min delay) when arriving at 2am despite having given them warning. Not great when you have a job interview at 11am needed as much sleep as possible. Walls are paper thin so expect to hear everybody in the corridor. Door to room stops 1cm from the floor with no sealing so gives a feeling of insecurity. Door locks replaced multiple times (some look with force) and as such current locks not fitting the door entirely once again letting light / sound through. Wouldn’t stay again.

Friendly service, a good nights sleep and breakfast in the morning. No complaints here

Property was as expected for the price for a short stay before a flight.

Stayed here for two nights to visit Edinburgh, good transport links and near to a tesco. Very friendly welcome, clean and comfortable. Free parking and a continental breakfast.

Property was nice. Bed was a bit lumpy and breakfast could have had more variety. Dining room table really needed to be cleaned daily. But it was safe, queit and a great location for my trip. The front deesk man was always kind and helpful.

Queensferry guest house .. rooms were clean and suited our needs .. ample car parking spaces..walking distance to the train station and on a good bus route . Tesco close by for bits and pieces.. my only complaint is breakfast didn’t have orange juice it was an orange squash type drink .. urgh..

They stopped serving breakfast more than one hour before the time it was supposed to be served. One of the reasons we chose this hotel was the breakfast. So, it was a bad experience. I wouldn’t stay there again

Bekväm men instabil säng. Inget eget badrum. Väldigt enkel frukost (saknade servetter, juice (fick saft), yoghurt, ost och skinka. Lugnt område, nära till flera restauranger.

Das Gasthaus ist gut mit dem Bus zu erreichen. In der Nähe befindet sich ein Supermarkt. Das Zimmer hatte 3 Betten und einen kleinen Schreibtisch. Als Garderobe gab es eine Kleideestange. Das Bad war auf dem Flur und für alle. Das Bad hatte ein Waschbecken und eine Dusche. Alles in einen akzeptablen Zustand. Frühstück war mit bei. Im Raum wo man Frühstücken konnte, gab es auch einen Fernseher, eine Mikrowelle und einen Kühlschrank. Besteck und Geschirr standen den ganzen Tag über zur Verfügung.

Service was nice but all in all it didn't match the price. This seems to be a problem in the whole Edinburgh area. The breakfast was not very special.
