Our stay at The Standard was wonderful. The staff were very lovely and welcoming and the hotel was clean and modern. We were given a gorgeous room with a great view too! Only downsides- it took an hour for a coffee to arrive to the room using the in room dining and it is not as close to Gardens By the Bay as Expedia says. It says 7 minutes on the hotel page but it takes at least 25 in a car. The location apart from that is good, it is near transport links and very close to the Orchard shopping area.

Absolutely loved The Standard in Singapore. Location is great and the propert is impeccable. The pool is such a tranquil spot - long for laps and swim up bar is a nice touch. Although the rooms were small- which I knew when I booked- the design The Standard is know for shines through in the private spaces. Loved the whole room set up and didn’t feel lack at all. The ONLY improvement I would suggest is providing a more hefty/stable pillow. The pillows were too soft:-)

Very cute hotel but overpriced food and drinks and the overall price was way too high for the lack of metro or bus service close by. You’ll be paying for grab non stop.

This is a quiet spot away from the hustle and bustle of downtown: a short walk from orchard rd it’s handy for all the major shopping areas. We ended up spending most of our time nr marina bay so was around 20-30cab in busier times. This standard is not quite the London or NYC level, but the staff are lovely! (Std) rooms are adequate. Restaurant and pool area great for breakfast and a relax. We had a good time - thank you.

Most striking was the friendliness and helpfulness of staff despite not being the most experienced; the design elements in the bedroom were as expected and of high quality. I was surprised by the entrance foyer, check-in counter and 8th floor corridors which I thought were not commensurate to remainder of hotel. Staff uniforms too were a bit ordinary. Despite the above the high level of service and bedroom amenity (overall) I will be a return guest in the future.

I was there just for one short overnight stay, but I was really impressed with the hotel. Very comfortable, very clean and the staff were great. And the breakfast was excellent! You can order from an "ala carte buffet" menu which is kind of interesting, and all the items I ordered -- from typical Western bakery items and egg dishes to spicy Laksa -- were outstanding. Definitely consider this property when choosing a hotel in the area!

It’s a beautiful property! Staffs are friendly. Sukra who works in the restaurant was so nice and sweet. He made my dining experience more comfortable. As for the hotel, it’s beautiful and we will book here again if we come back to Singapore
