We had an excellent experience during our first stay at Lotte Hotel Seoul. We were upgraded to a Junior Suite, and the room was luxurious, spacious, and very clean. The hotel is right next to a subway station, with lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Every staff member we met was super friendly and went out of their way to help us. We’ll definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Seoul!

The entertainment at the bar was great! It was nice but I felt there were too many staff watching and wanting to help - it freaked me out with all the people that wanted to carry my bags and gym staff watching to make sure I’m okay. Nice people though - I’m just not used to that.

I chose this property for its location and a specific room type they offer. Despite the impressive lobby and abundance of staff milling about, the Lotte Hotel Seoul is def not up to 5-star standards. Pros: The deluxe twin room is spacious. Beds are comfortable. Daily bottled water is replenished. Auto window coverings control is a nice touch. Japanese style toilet is nice. Elevator floor is auto selected when room card is tapped. Even though the hotel is fully booked, it never feels crowded. Cons: The hotel is showing its age and is in desperate need of an overhaul. The bathroom only has one sink and it is too low and has zero counter space. They should remove the bathtub and put in two sinks with property height and more counter space). They don’t have enough housekeepers for our floor. Some days our room didn’t get cleaned till late afternoon. My biggest complaint is the surprise drilling noise we experience for two days. The hotel never told us they were doing renovations next to our room. When I called the front desk, the lady was very apologetic and ordered a tea voucher at Le Salon for one day. But a day later, they were drilling again and even louder than the first time. We didn’t bother to call the front desk anymore. All of the above cons are a clear indication they this hotel does not live up to its 5-star rating. Sorry won’t recommend this hotel.
