STAY7 Myeongdong

The room was awful. One of the windows has a blind that only goes half way down and the bottom half of the window is frosted. This meant that the room was so light all night and I couldn’t sleep. The rooms in serious need of redecorating - marks all over the room. Was generally clean and good location Breakfast was awfuk. Zero selection.

The price is good. The hotel included breakfast, it is close to public transport. TripZip right opposite to help with tourist attraction and direction.

It is ok, good location

Location otherwise overall, I will not recommend this property. Why? 1. Very small room 2. Small towels as in small 3. Free breakfast but no variety, ham, toast, cereals, noodles, eggs- everyday 4. Questionable cleaning process, you can see the towels by the stairs being dried up near trash bins 5. They don’t clean rooms everyday- you have to pay extra to have it clean 6. No staff available after 9 pm 7. Centralized aircondition for all the rooms- we have to complain about befire they turn in the aircondition

Nice staff. Good Location.

I initially got lost. You need to walk within Myeongdong to find it. It's not like you will spot it as soon as you come out of Exit 7 or 8. But it is still a close walk to the subway or better, right at the heart of Myeongdong shopping. The night manager speak little english. But the morning and afternoon staff can. Overall, I had a great time in Seoul. The advantages far outweighs the disadvantages so I am leaving good review.

The place is very convenient. The room is clean when we got there but they dont do regular room cleaning. We had to request 2 times before granted. We stayed for a week so it was hard to do all the cleaning our selves. Staff are very polite but Not too many speak english. The bathroom is complete and hot water is available all the time. The beds are very firm.

reality so different to advertised hotel at the time of booking.... really run down.. nobody at reception when checking in, bad manners when I call someone to show up on the phone.... paper-thin walls, you can hear your neighbors.... tiny bathroom when u shower everything gets wet, even outside bathroom.. DO NOT COME HERE !

The location is very strategic just right in the middle of Myeondong shopping street. There is unpleasant smell from the toilet sanitary so need to make sure the toilet door is always closed. Also found some stain on the bed sheet.

Great stay...location is superb.

Easy access to shopping, subway and bus

The hotel location is perfect for shopping, food and metro station. However, the cleanliness of the room is quite disappointing. There’s hairs all over the floor, beds and dust quite a bit on the desk and floor. The front desk agent doesn’t seem very welcoming seeing guests walking. The way she talked to us is more like instructing us what to and not to do. Earlier this year Jan, I stayed in the same hotel but it’s called K Guest House, the room is clean and front desk agent is very helpful and friendly. If I am travelling to Myeongdong again, I’ll consider staying in other hotels.

Hotel is convenient. Close from shopping area only 10m.

The location is pretty good and staff is friendly as well. However, we didn’t expect the room for 5 to be so small with limited walking and bathing space. Otherwise, it’s not a bad option!

It was amazing we could stay in the central of Myeongdong where we can reach very popular and famous shops and restaurants in a few minutes. They also welcomed kids so we could stay in the family room where we have plenty space to lie down and relax. The staffs were so nice and the breakfast room in the basement and lobby and cafe space on the first floor were very modern. Next time we are really into staying here again!

the location is very convenient.. very near myeongdong station exit 7 or 8.. easy to locate and near the myeongdong shopping district so every thing you need is all there within the hostel.. breakfast is also ok.. they refill eggs,ham, bread, cereal, juice, milk, ramen, coffee.. can also microwave.. cleaning part, i guess they don’t clean everyday.. they also provide toiletries like shampoo, conditioner and body wash. staff not that friendly coz they don’t smile or greet but they can speak english so i guess still ok.. if i’m coming back to korea, i’d love to stat here again

The hostel was inexpensive. It was in Myeongdong near the subway. They had an elevator. The kitchen area was accessible during open hours. I didn't like that they saw me using a lapto & said l couldn't use it because it didn't belong to the hotel when the laptop was my own that I brought from work. I didn't like that the receptionist just walked into the room without knocking when I was lying on top of my assigned bed in my bra after showering after taking a very humid hike and she wanted to escort in a new guest. I had to tell her to wait outside while I finished getting dressed. She didn't know to excuse herself and shut the door to give me privacy to finish dressing. I also didn't like that there were no rules about lights and noise after 11P like another hostel had as two of my hostel mates came in at 2A after leaving at Midnight and turning on all the lights and talking loudly in Russian. I also didn't like that the alley was filled with smokers when I am allergic to smoke. Although one of the reviewers mentioned it, I didn't realize how bad it was. I didn't like how we had to put our toilet paper in a basket in the bathroom rather than flush and being told that they only clean the room every 3 days and I needed to have told them by 10A that I needed the room cleaned. It was the second day the trash hadn't been taken out. I asked for trash bags to take out the trash myself. They took a 10K KRW deposit so I could lock my things up but they had no locker keys.

Took $10 deposit that was only refundable upon check-out, however, at check-out no one was at the reception!

I had a lovely stay and would definitely go back! The location is perfect; It’s near the shopping area and also near the station! Very easy to find.

一部屋4人、二段ベットが2つ。ゲストハウスなので、他の人が深夜にシャワーを浴びようが、電気をつけようが構いませんでした。しかし、4人泊まる部屋と思えないくらい狭い。スーツケースは広げられない。メイクをする時に利用する鏡は、自分のベットの前のみ。自分含め、4人もいればその鏡を使う時間は被るため、外に出る時間が遅くなった。バスルームにも鏡はあるが、シャワー浴びた後だと曇ってタオルで拭いても何も見えない。それから、シャワーを浴びた後、トイレの床が水浸しで気持ち悪い。 清掃も毎日行われていなかったため、部屋の床には髪の毛が落ちているのが目立ち、新しいタオルも補充されていなかったので、前日と同じものを使った。 受付は、夜22時以降は誰一人いない。フライトの時間が、午前10時で7時くらいにはチェックアウトしたが、人がいなかったので、デポジットも受け取る事ができなかった。今回、一人旅で宿泊費はあまりかけたくなく、立地も明洞で良いと思い、こちらのゲストハウスに決めたが、値段以外に良いことはなかった。もう二度と利用しないと思います。
