What Guests Say About Their Stay

The host is very nice, always kept in contact and sending us the information in time. We had a late check in and we didn't have any issue. The property is clean, we saw daily someone cleaning the common areas. The property has a small courtyard, perfect for eating and hanging out, as well as a kitchenette equipped with everything needed (plates, bowls, cutleries, etc.) Internet is available throughout the property at a decent speed. The room was small but very clean, equipped with air conditioning and a ceiling fan, minifridge and a TV. The bed was comfortable and the shower spacious. The location is excellent. it is close to a marketplace, restaurants and Picasso Museum, making it easy to explore the city center and to access the public transport. The area seems to be safe, even though we saw and we were approached by beggars and people that were clearly intoxicated, but all of them were peaceful. Bonus, if you explore the area you can see very cool graffiti :) Overall we had a pleasant stay and it was perfect for us.

Self check in, very simple. Great room with balcony, black out windows superb. The street is quiet, no noise. Kitchen useful in reception. Bathroom clean and modern. Location incredible for the price. Restaurants and shops 5 min away, main square 15 min away. Would certainly stay here again. Management very responsive and helpful.

Excellent property. Owners are very communicative and helpful. Rooms are clean, modern, and renovated. Plenty of space to sleep multiple people. My room had a little "living room" with a 2nd TV, sleeper couch, and foldable table&chairs. 1 minute walking distance from the square, 2 minutes from Old Town. Air conditioning and ceiling fan available. No kitchen except the shared kitchenette in the lobby but I didnt need one anyway. I recommend without hesitation and would stay here again.

Be aware that as of March 2025 ongoing roadworks is happening in the street that the property is on. They did email after the room was booked and gave me the option to cancel. It would be better to know this information before booking rather than after booking. It would be useful to have a mat by the entrance to the mainHallway to brush sand off shoes before entering building. There is a communal kitchen in the reception area where you can make teas and coffees, etc and take them to your room. The room is ideally situated for the centre of Malaga and is clean and new.

Excellent stay. Only thing is there’s a road construction outside, so that part is horrible (BUT beyond the control of the property owners, so I still gave it five stars.) For me, it didn’t take away from the beauty, comfort and cleanliness of the accommodation. I really love the place. Perfect location.

We booked 6/7/24 & on 9/8/24 rec’d Expa’s confirmation Itinerary email. Just before the travel date to check our book’g & noticed a Spanish message.  It had to be opened to see in English we could cancel as there were Roadworks, but the date had passed. We arrived & we were upset by the proximity of the works & saw nowhere apart from a small hanging space so we would have to live out the suitcase. We messaged the host & Ex’a who said they were asking the manager for a refund & they had refused. We did not want a refund only some storage & reduction for the disturbance & disruption, the hosts never replied to us. The works were 30 mtrs away when we arrived but by the end it was directly under our window & some pavement had collapsed, making the route to the property even more awkward.  We blame the Ex’a comm’s methods for us not receiving the message about roadworks. Ex’a should forward all messages by email to ensure receipt & avoid the need to keep checking messages just in case! We’re the hosts upset by Ex’a asking for a refund or just being rude? We would book again: room was clean, tidy, comfortable. Moving a chair would have enabled some shelving: downstairs kitchen & outdoor space much appreciated: Location is fantastic. We hope the hosts do not suffer too much from the disruptive roadworks but feel all guests should know of the situation or like us they will be shocked. This is written based on dates of 27/8 4/9/24 & so the works may have moved considerably.

Great little guesthouse in the historical centre, round the corner from Picasso's house of birth on Málaga's main square, Plaza de la Merced. There are literally hundreds of restaurants and cafés within walking distance (so we we didn't miss not having a breakfast room) and yet this guesthouse is very quiet, tucked away in a little side street. The property seems very recently renovated, is spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. We stayed in a "junior suite" with a French balcony onto the street and a window overlooking a little courtyard reserved for La Siesta guests. There are coffee- and tea-making facilities in the lobby. The staff were extremely friendly and eager to help with our needs.
