We really enjoyed our stay here. From arriving, the staff on the front desk and in restaurants were on hand to help every step of the way. Room was really spacious and we loved the balcony overlooking Kandy lake. Pool was small, but good to dip into! Although it was quite chilly. Really great location too. Only thing I would say is housekeeping was quite late in the day!

A nice hotel, but we were allocated a room on the lowest level with a view of a construction site. The rooftop bar and restaurant are nicely positioned and good music at night.
Food was t that great and the cocktails had minimal alcohol.

Built like so much of Kandy on the side of a mountain, Grand Serendib Hotel offers a standard room with a great view. The room works well in terms of comfort with a pretty little balcony. We had an excellent buffet breakfast included. The staff were very friendly and polite.

This property met the purpose for my stay to have a clean, comfortable hotel room to spend two days in Kandy Sri Lanka. It did not have a lot of the bells and whistles I was anticipating but overall the property is very clean and well maintained and the staff was super nice and professional.

Good place to stay in Kandy but slightly on the expensive side for what it is. One thing to be aware of is that there is a construction site next to the hotel as of April 2025. Of course this isn’t something the hotel can control, but the noise in the daytime is a disturbance. The rooms are great and clean, but sound insulation is not great from the hallway, lobby, etc. Breakfast selection is also great. The pool has a great view but it’s location right next to the restaurant makes it slightly awkward to use.

Lovely hotel set in the hills above the lake, with great views of the surrounding peaks, very comfortable room with a great balcony.
There's a rooftop bar and restaurant which was lovely, plus a ground floor bar, restaurant and infinity pool. Breakfast was delicious with great choices and good coffee! The staff were attentive and pleasant.
