Super-friendly, helpful staff. No problems with speaking English. Was able to launder all of my clothes after the airline soaked my soft-sided luggage with water of unknown quality. The hotel was close to some nice hiking trails, and it was possible to book a "midnight sun" hike at the front desk. Both restaurants in the hotel were good, and the free breakfast was just about the best free breakfast anywhere. Swedish pancakes with a variety of toppings, and smoked salmon were available. Ginger shots for your juice! The view from many of the windows in the hotel was breathtaking. Will definitely return someday.
Transportation from the airport in Kirula is either a bit expensive or a bit inconvenient depending on which option you choose. Plan ahead.

Very nice hotel in Abisko. Helpful and courteous staff, clean rooms, close to the chairlift. Also close to the train station. Full breakfast included. They could have done with a more varied menu at the bistro as well as the restaurant.

I was in a single private room which was very small and basic but to be expected. Bathroom was a little tired but clean enough. The hotel is in a great location for hiking and the chair lift. Within 5-10 min walk you are immersed in nature. Breakfast had plenty options and good quality. The bistro food was delicious and I think reasonable priced for the remoteness of the hotel - it’s not cheap but again, expected!
The little shop has everything you need in an emergency eg toiletries and chocolate!
WiFi was great and no issues for me. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly!
The chair lift is a must do! I didn’t do the organised midnight hike as it’s easy enough to work it out yourself.
Only drawback is getting to the property - this isn’t a fault of the hotel itself but good to know - buses from Kiruna are few and far between and taxis are expensive so ensure you research and plan ahead!

Excellent Stay and Exceptional Service at STF Abisko!
My wife and I checked in on June 17th around 5:00 PM, and we were blown away by the exceptional service. The receptionist on duty was incredibly warm, welcoming, and provided us with a very detailed and helpful introduction to the hotel and the surrounding national park.
Even more impressively, after completing our check-in, I accidentally left my mobile phone at the front desk. The receptionist was so attentive that they noticed it immediately and personally brought it over to return it to me. This level of care and thoughtfulness truly made our stay memorable.
Highly recommend this hotel for its stunning location and its top-notch, heartwarming staff!

Cleanliness ok, Amenities ok, facilities well maintained. Some reception staff were very patient and helpful but some not so. Sweden is an expensive country, so based on the price paid for a bunk bed, I would expect a higher level of services and quality compared to those across the globe and other accommodation in sweden. It Is also annoying to have to rent bedsheet, pillow case and durvet cover for SG39.

The place was amazing. It is not about the room but about being the hub of the place. The restaurants, the store, the activities starting there and organised by them. There is a great vibe of activity and expectation. Many happy people from all over the world.
It is located perfectly, on the lake and on the river bank.
The rooms are basic but clean and had all we needed. The breakfast very diversed.
There are also two restaurants and Fika-s.

Great location in the park. Breakfast was very good. Coffee is ok, not great. Bistro restaurant food is very good. Lovely facilities throughout the building with cozy places to sit, especially by the fire. We had a superior economy room which was very comfortable.

A great place to see the Northern Lights. The area is quiet and safe. There are plenty of activities to do during the day: dog sledding, lake visit, or taking a scenic train ride to Narvik. Just a five-minute walk toward the base station and you can see the Northern Lights so clearly in the sky. The view from the Sky Station is great and is worth a visit.
