I love this place, and the well worn charm and history of it. The kids love the pool and I love the views. Not the most modern, but a true classic and a gem for the nostalgics and the romantics!

It's a historic hotel, very beautiful inside and outside. The local area is picturesque too, made lovely by a great number of wooden Swedish huts in walking distance. It's quiet and relaxing outside. I had a wonderful time walking around the hotel in the warm summer evening at sunset, taking pictures and enjoying fresh air. Inside, the reception area serves as a bar, and the sofas in the reception room are cosy for reading or sipping a cocktail. The lounge room next door is even better: the furniture is all historic and chosen with taste. The staff wears traditional Swedish dresses, which adds a nice touch. I would stay there again.

I´ve been here several times, always loved it. But since last visit they have changed the furniture etc in the living rooms, and some of the magic has disappeared. Small things that change a hotel from a magic one to a "standard" hotel.

Quiet. Excellent view. Very good breakfast. Excellent (table d'hôte only) dinners (we had venison one night and pepper steak the next).
No lifts. As pensioners, being faced with carting bags up and down two flights of stairs was challenging. The hotel is tightly manned so (immediate) assistance would have been out of the question.

A perfect place to stay while visiting Dalarna and exploring the area. A charming, cozy and beautiful hotel with a fantastic view over Tällberg and Lake Siljan. The staff is very accommodating and the restaurant offers fine dining while serving traditional Swedish cuisine. The deluxe rooms with a balcony and view over the lake are well worth the extra money.

We initially booked a basic room in the self-standing building, but when we let ourselves in, it had not yet been cleaned. The hotel upgraded us to a lake-view room in the main building (with the pool and sauna), and it was very comfortable. The restaurant was great. I have many good sensitivities and the staff was very accommodating. The sauna and pool were nice too. We are looking forward to coming back here again, maybe in the summer when everything is green instead of white!

Friendly, traditional style hotel. Amazing feeling at Christmas and nicely decorated. Staff were friendly and helpful and dinner and breakfast were great. If you're in the area I definitely recommend the Green Hotel!

Stunning views across lake Siljan. Enjoyed the facilities of the authentically Swedish hotel.Excellent cuisine but three course dinner rather expensive. Bedding needs to be more sumptuous.
