Hotel Uman is a fantastic hotel. We stayed two separate nights on our way to and from Finland. Nice quiet rooms with all the amenities. Lower level garage is very convenient and safe. Hotel Uman is within walking distance of all Umeå museums, university, river walk, shopping and ferry to Vaasa Finland. The food is excellent (breakfast and dinner) and both are free! The staff is superior---very friendly and accommodating. Hotel Uman is the place to stay in Umeå.

Bed was not the best; but good enough. It was great to have both breakfast and supper included in hotel reservation fee! Staff was genuinely friendly, helpful, and accommodating.

We stayed for two weeks, visiting our daughter, her husband and our new grand baby. The Clarion is near the town square with lots of shops and weekend community activities. The river is just a block away, with nice walking/running paths. The hotel is clean, the staff are wonderfully helpful. The "gym" has two treadmills and an elliptical glider, but only 7 dumbbells with a top weight of 9 kilos.
We ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel everyday. Breakfast was consistent each morning, lots of variety to chose from. Dinner's main course was different every night, and always good.

Arriving at 10:30pm after 7 hours driving, we appreciated the rapid check-in, clean cozy room, hot shower, tea pot, and comfy bed. Breakfast was excellent as were the staff. Thank you!

Great stay at the Clarion hotel in Umea. A stylish and modern hotel in a historical building. The free, buffet style, breakfast and dinners are exquisite. The coffee is rich and fresh. Their wine and beer selection is excellent. The beds and pillows are supper comfortable. Convenient location.

Not only we’re the staff incredibly friendly (and supportive of me passing my driving test), but the room was lovely, the bed comfortable, and the shower more powerful than any shower Ive ever taken - no kidding. The food as well was simply fantastic and even dinner was free, included with the stay - I will miss this hotel and look forward to being able to go back :)

Good hotel as central as you could get in Umeå, also close to the river. Breakfast over expectations. There is a car park beneath the hotel (not included in the price though). This hotel has modern style like those sterile big hotels but managing to keep it much cozier. One minus was that the steam room in the relax was permanentely broken and this info wasn't updated on Hotels.com so we where dissapointed for this was one of the main reasons why we picked Clarion Hotel.
