We enjoyed our stay at the RedDot. The location was great for getting to local sites and the staff were super helpful with local tips and suggestions. We enjoyed using the hotel bikes to ride along the nearby river. There is a cool bar attached to the hotel (Shu) and a great coffee place around the corner (Kanau Coffee.)

Good location, comfortable but the room is pretty small. They will charged extra for late check-out which i think this is not nexeasary if extend for 30 mins to 1 hour

Nice boutique hotel. Simple, clean and stylish. The speakeasy next door pours great craft cocktails. Proximity to a night market is a definite bonus for a quick bite. The only two negatives for me were that the breakfast was a set menu that only changes every other month. If on an extended stay this can get tedious. Food was very tasty. The second was that there wasn't laundry service. Again for a long stay this will force you to find a place. The font desk didn't have any suggestions other than a coin op place around the block.
I would recommend this hotel, great for the price.

Loved everything about this hotel. Staff and amenities and very convenient. Transport in Taichung itself is slacking for travelers but hotel can call you a taxi anytime

Great Hotel, nicely outfitted room, best I stayed in in Taiwan. When checking in the staff copied my passport though without asking, which was a inconsiderate regarding my privacy.
