From the moment I arrived, the experience was phenomenal. The staff accommodations were top notch, and the service they provided to cater to our needs was exceptional, even though the resort had a strong family oriented vibe. I chose this place to celebrate my partner’s birthday, and they outdid themselves in making it a memorable occasion. Every staff member at the desk was incredibly friendly and helpful. They assisted me in decorating our room and made me feel truly special throughout my stay. Whenever I had any minor issues, they were always there to provide prompt assistance.
I highly recommend this resort to any American traveler planning a visit to Zanzibar. It’s an ideal destination for families seeking a special getaway or a romantic retreat for significant others. The amenities are simply outstanding, and the pool is a must try. I also had the opportunity to go diving at Mora, and the diving team was fantastic. They made the experience safe and enjoyable. Before I conclude, I want to highlight the exceptional kitchen staff at the Horizon. Every single one of them, from the waitresses to the servers, was amazing. I can’t recall all their names because it was truly a diverse group. There was Queen, Christopher, Deman, Georgie and many more. Interacting with everyone was such a delightful experience that I lost track of their names. I will be back. Until next time guys.

This is an all inclusive resort, and the food was fantastic in all venues. Its a new resort that just opened this year. The beach is phenomenal as are the facilities.

Pleasant stay at the Mora Zanzibar. Rooms are good and well maintained, friendly staff, service was good.
Food at Horizon was slightly disappointing, i was expecting a larger selection and taste. The booking system for Jua Grill doesn't give a fair opportunity to all guests to dine there. The booking system needs to be looked into.

The Mora Zanzibar is an excellent hotel. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because of small issues. First the room cleaning service was mediocre. The additional services are pricey. The staff at the Horizon was amazing which made the stay that more enjoyable. They offer a variety of restaurants but you need to book through the app prior to arriving others you may be out of luck. Overall great stay and I would recommend to family and friends.

The resort was really nice. The service and staff was top notch. I didn't like the fact that it was all-inclusive but most of the drinks and some food on the menu was extra. Most of the drinks at the bar had an extra cost.

Amazing stay at The Mora, the staff are great, really accommodating and helpful.
The food was brilliant all round, lots of choice at the buffet for everyone. We also had food at the other restaurants (Jikan, Japanese) and (Jua, Brazilian Grill) bear in mind you need to book these 48 hours in advance. Jikan was okay, but probably my least favourite meal on the trip, the restaurant inside has strange lighting and creates an odd atmosphere. Jua on the other hand was great, one of the best meals at The Mora, it’s buffet style for starters, sides and deserts and a La carte for the main, great options and would definitely recommend.
The room was very comfortable, air con to keep you cool and a very large bed. We stayed in the junior suite and it was really spacious. The room comes with satellite TV, mostly English speaking channels, a free mini bar with soft drinks, wine and beer. My personal favourite on the room was house keeping setting your room/bed for the evening when you’re at dinner, coming back to that was great and a nice touch.
The resort itself has everything you could want, great beach (although bear in mind there are locals on this beach trying to sell you things, but they’re not allowed where the sun beds are so won’t bother you, only when you make your way to the sea) there are 3 large pools, plenty of space, also a smaller pool for kids, shallow but still large! Ordering drinks to your sunbed was a huge plus!
Overall, The Mora was perfect. There’s lots to do!
