What an amazing experience… I would like to thank Mu at reception… she have the original tour and very gentle sold it to me, I ended up staying 4 nights… I tried looking for her all those days… In the end Mu was there to check me out… a must visit when in Bankok… absolutely 5 star experience…

This location is amazing. Free shuttle boat to 3 locations running hourly. Breakfast was amazing. The room is very spacious and modern. The staff was very friendly and helpful . I will definitely come back, you should stay here and will be very happy.

We had an excellent 3 night stay. Bed very comfortable, quiet and clean on the 5th floor. All the staff were fantastic all very friendly. Jar in the riverside bar was excellent along with everyone else. We had a dinner and lunch at the Italian restaurant it was superb staff once again fantastic. River boat to station or ICONSIAM a great way to travel on the river. There was a mix up with our transport to the airport but was quickly fixed by Diamond. We will stay again.

The riverside setting is undeniably beautiful—lush gardens, breezy palms, and tranquil views. But beyond the scenery, the resort shows clear signs of neglect that undercut its five-star claim. Facilities are rundown. Pool decking is warped and uneven, with cracked planks and splinters creating trip hazards. Decorative trims are flaking and stained. Artificial turf is frayed, dirty, and ignored. Rooms are inconsistent at best, depressing at worst. Many feel dated, with mismatched furniture, peeling bathtubs, broken fixtures, and exposed filler patches. Air conditioners leak or groan. Plumbing is unreliable. Even lighting is dull and poorly maintained. Housekeeping tries, but age overshadows cleanliness. Things may be wiped down, but worn surfaces and old fabrics can’t be scrubbed into feeling fresh. Service is polite but ineffective. Maintenance issues are either ignored or patched temporarily. Some rooms are upgraded; others seem forgotten. There’s no consistency, no quality control. Anantara Riverside coasts on its past and location. Unless major renovations and better oversight happen soon, guests will continue to be disappointed. Book only if you’re guaranteed a fully renovated room—otherwise, the risk isn’t worth the price.
