The Hotel has changed from Patong Merlin to Court Yard Marriotts.We have been to this Hotel many times over the last 25 years The standard has increased and so has the cost of eating our drinking in the Hotel. These cost mean most guests don't eat our drink in the Hotel. Previously we would have drinks by the pool and eat in the restaurant.

This is our second time at this property and it has gone so far downhill. My husband, son and I arrived and on our first day at only at the resort and became violently ill and needed the Dr to come and give us all IV fluids. We approached the hotel to advise them. And we got….. offered a free buffet and the meal that made us sick for free. Come on!!! Not to mention the prostitutes around the pool…. Hotel staff turn a blind eye. Nice for a family resort. Will never be back. Come if you want salmonella though.

Excellent service, food, and drinks. Always felt looked after and doted upon by the staff. Pools were beautiful and all facilities were clean and modern. The only negative was that we had a street-facing room with the Hard Rock cafe next door which could be noisy until late. However, this was a small price to pay for everything else which was fantastic. Highly recommend this resort.

It’s fabulous stay . We would like to come back again in this resort. Hotel staffs are very friendly. My kids love some water rides which was in hotel . Room size is very small. That’s only issue because we expect there must be Tub in bathroom but unfortunately we didn’t find Tub. Because room charges are very high . Which is not value for money. Otherwise everything is awesome .

The overall aesthetics including hardware were good. Nicely appointed rooms, great large family style pools. What needs improvement is the software. There seems to be no sense of urgency or any call of action to your feedback. Overall food was disappointing, IRD Hainan chicken rice was over cooked with no flavors, texture of taste. Plisa the lady on the phone was not very accommodating as well as Boom the night duty manager. Our sleep for 3 nights was disturbing due to the two beds been joint to make one king bed Thank you for the upgrade to a pool room on the ground floor and bottle of wine as service recovery on the shortfalls but no one checked upon our comfort the following days if we were sleeping well or not. Breakfast Ms Pai at the waffle station always had a grumpy and a non accommodating attitude if we requested for hot pancakes her answer was take the ones which are on display first, zero anticipation on guest request or needs Jane at check in was professional and polite. Overall our stay was a hit and a miss in many aspects we would want to return however it’s the food and the staff that also contribute to the entire experience which on this stay wasn’t good

Hi. First time ever seeing this poor level of maintenance and cleaning. I've changed room while staying and in each room there was a serious cleaning problem. At the first room I had a cockroach and in the second room long hair remains in the bathroom immediately after I entered. Stuff is very kind, but not as attentive as in other hotels. In regard to the location, on Hotels.Com app it shows a different location which is on the beach road and not as in reality where the location is at the parallel Road further east. I'm attaching photos of the things I've described in this post.
