Excellent stay - great value hotel on edge of city. Very helpful and efficient staff. Superb room with shower, kettlle, fridge, etc. Breakfast in cafe downstairs was good.
Tuk tuks available from opposite hotel ( adjacent to hospital ) - so easy to get around town. Strongly recommended.

Based on the mostly very positive reviews we decided to give this hotel a try. Unfortunately, we were disappointed.
But first the positive:
Rooms 411 & 311 (both suites) are spacious, nicely equipped with kitchenette, a good shower, and plenty of electrical outlets. The TV is good with many channels to choose from.
And now the negative:
The mattresses are hard like a rock. Kitchenette has no stove. Therefore, only good for heating up food in the microwave. TV remote controls difficult to understand and operate. Electric outlets loose and wiggly. Hotel location is on a very busy street across from hospital. Parking is underground, very tight, and has limited spaces. (We had to park outside in front of restaurant two of the four nights we stayed.) The worst, however, is the elevator. It does not stop at street level (which I can understand) and at lobby level (which I do not understand). So, when you check in you will have to use stairs (which is a problem for handicapped persons or older persons who have difficulties climbing stairs (like us). Elevator controls are not reliable (you have to push buttons multiple times otherwise it doesn’t go anywhere). Also, the rooms have no views (except for a wall or a rooftop of a next door building). Last, but not least, our door lock electronics didn’t work reliably and couldn’t be fixed on a Sunday. So we moved from 411 to 311. Breakfast is decent, and all employees are friendly and helpful.
Would we stay again? Probably not…

Slive is in a great location and the rooms are really nice and comfortable. There is a well equipped gym on the 2nd floor and a great restaurant on ground floor. The internet is good and breakfast is delicious. Staff are friendly and welcoming!

Very good little boutique hotel. Helpful staff.
Too many chemical cleaners used in the room, made my eyes stream, but stopped on request.
Good sized suite, good aircon in living room and very good aircon in the bedroom.
Kitchenette Sink tap very loose, needs fixing.
Tv controls only in Thai and couldn’t get any thing - need an idiot sheet in English.
Shower hot and good. Bed very comfortable, bedlinen good quality and choice of pillows. Lots of good towels.
Good selection of soaps and lotion and bits and pieces, liquid soap and shampoo in the shower.
The kitchen would benefit from having a knife, and a bowl for soup or noodles. There are plates and a small mug.
Good refrigerator and adequate microwave, and a good kettle.
The room service menu is good, and I highly recommend the Hamburger, which really was delicious. It comes with a salad so order fries too!
Breakfast is Asian standard, with cold fried eggs, sausages made of some unidentifiable meat, and ‘plastic’ham, but the coffee, juice, toast and cereals are good .
Overall, (with the exception of heavy handed use of pungent cleaning chemicals) this is a very comfortable hotel and I give it 9/10.

It was my 2nd stay at Slive hotel in surin and I love the cleanliness of the hotel as well as the refreshing welcome drink upon checking in at the counter. There is an awesome cafe located right below the hotel. The car park guide is doing a mighty fine job for guiding our car in and thumbs up for his great service! The level 4 of the hotel has a rooftop area with benches and swing chairs where you can chill and do your laptop and coffee at the same time! I hope to see more of such hotels in Thailand out of Bangkok!

Comfortable bed with 4 pillows- two firm and two soft which was perfect. Modern style decor and excellent buffet breakfast. Gym was surprisingly well equipped. The water doesn’t get very warm so be prepared for that.

The Slive is always our favorite place to stay in Surin. It's clean, comfortable, has great friendly staff, and the best breakfast of any hotel in the area, in fact, better than most hotels in general, not matter where. We get a great night's sleep, a nice workout in their excellent fitness center, and and a healthy delicious breakfast, with many Thai dishes and deserts.
