Fantastic. Must stay. Be it a couple of detox days or a long stay. Fantastic spa resort. It is great for relaxation and detox, we met here half way as a family reunion, UK and NZ. 2 week stay 7 of us, then 5 for 10 days days. 2 were travelling the main island also. Few niggles such as broken/stiff shower - fixed no issues. The rainfall shower was always perfect. Lovely polite and accommodating staff, we are a family that likes a drink or two, and meat, so it not 2 ate break here as B&B. Mainly we went outside the resort to 7/11, local beach bars or local restaurants. The waiting staff, reception staff and cleaners, simply cannot do enough to help you. So polite and friendly. Very cheap next day laundry service. Accessible for slight mobility needs. No lift, but I managed with my crutch, no worries. Staff always happy to help if needed and always asking how I am. I fell ill due to an existing condition, they were so supportive and attentive. Any thank them enough. A must try is the full body 90 minute Thai massage. Heaven. B&B Buffett is lovely, good value for money. No limit on how much you can have. Partner filled his boots!! We have a 1st floor apartment due to budget, compared to other group members in the pool villas. In honesty I prefer our room. Quiet, few children, all well behaved, kids being kids. It is more of a couples, or older family meet up resort though. We are age ranges 27-71. Could do with a few more sun lounges x

Did a detox at The Spa Resorts Lamai Beach. Superb healthful resort with excellent programmes for all types of detoxing. Yoga, meditation and all right on the beach. Literally step off the restaurant to your lounger on the gorgeous deserted beach. Raw food restaurant is really good. Lots of lovely restaurants nearby. Beautiful in house spa and gym. I recommend.

The aircon was broken for the majority of our stay, the staff did not seem to know much about what was going on, and the pool did not look clean during our stay so we did not go in. The area is extremely quiet, you are far from from most nice restaurants/ markets(30-40 min), however there is a 7/11 directly opposite, a lovely brunch place next door to this called toast, and silver beach is a 20 minute walk which is absolutely beautiful. This hotel is fine if you are going purely for spa treatments and quiet. We should have done more prior research, but we stayed out of the hotel as much as possible as it does not suit the vibe of younger people.

I did not realise that it would be so quiet and people fasting. I little away from main area but enough to do. Staff lovely - everything is extra yoga, treatments. We had to upgrade the room as the 1st room was on the main road and no outside space. for £330 we had our own hut infront of the small pool and on the beach.

Disappointed by the condition of our room and some common areas, but also by the lack of interest on behalf of the staff. 1. Very basic English, for a pretending 5 stars hotel. We were barely able to communicate. English is not our native language either, but if you name yourself a 5 star hotel, you should mind this aspect. 2. The toilet, filthy and very difficult to use. We had to press the flush button with maximum force each time, but in most of the cases, it wasn’t even working. We couldn’t sit on the toilet seat due to being yellow, from urine or whatsoever. The smell was clearly of urine surrounding the wc. Also, the common toilet looked like an abandoned one. Filthy, poo and wee all over. We wanted to leave in the first night, but of course, no reimbursement, so we accepted the worst accommodation we ever tried in Thailand. 3. The beach was nice, but nobody cared about it. Some broken sunbeds, no matts, full of plastic etc. but it was nice as it seemed private, in a way. 4. The restaurant was good, we enjoyed it and tried several dishes. This was the best part. 5. Didn’t get the point of those very uncomfortable to walk on tiles. If you get there, you will understand what I mean. 6. Don’t use their toiletries. Horrible smell, you will definitely wash them off. 7. Very noisy rooms, we booked Arcadia deluxe, btw, villas might be better. Overall, a 3 star hotel with a 5 star restaurant. We would sum it up to this. We will never come back.

Difficult to review: hotel in general excellent, but the room was disappointing. Breakfast was very good, as was the healthy day menu and restaurant. The beachside restaurant is idyllic, so peaceful and overlooking a quiet harbour with fishing boats. The hotel is very small but beautiful, peaceful and well appointed. The staff were nice, helpful, proactive. However my room - probably one of the worst in the hotel - was small with no balcony and the small window looked out onto not only a walkway but also steps, so other guests flip-flopping up and down. The room also had little air circulation and the air con was mostly not strong enough to compensate, so too hot. I’d be happy to spend more time in the hotel, but I’d not want to spend another night in that particular room.

The hotel itself is very nice and clean but we felt it lacked any sort of personality or life. A very slow breakfast service left many frustated waiting over an hour for food on some days. A gaggle of middle-aged women on a detox/ hunger camp dominated the space despite not actually eating. Additionally, they were rather loud as they met for morning yoga at 6am waking others up which I did point out to reception staff. Overall I would not recommend this hotel nor stay here again despite it being clean and well presented.

Really helpful and friendly customer service however key cards faulty and often needing to go to reception to get it connected and if staff have gone home need to call the number on the key card and wait for security to let you in and then speak to reception the next morning. This happened twice during a 3 day stay.

Thai people are known for their warmth and friendliness, but our experience at this place lacked all of it. While the restaurant staff was friendly, the front desk never greeted us. We stood waiting, often ignored. They seemed untrained in hospitality. When we inquired about airport transfer, they were uninformative. The worst part was finding blood stains on our sheets. When we raised the issue, they dismissed it, suggesting it was our fault. Despite multiple attempts to address it, no apology was offered. The lack of professionalism and accountability was disappointing. The hotel staff even suggested that the bloodstains might be from mosquito bites, which seemed implausible to us. We provided photos of the stains, clearly indicating that they were too large to be caused by minor injuries or insect bites. However, they persisted in blaming us and failed to acknowledge the seriousness of the issue. This lack of concern for hygiene and customer satisfaction was shocking.
