Armada Istanbul Old City Hotel

Excellent place and location

Very clean and nice place, friendly staff. Beautiful ocean view with five minutes walk to Blue Mosque and Ayasofya mosque. I will definitely recommend this to anyone who would like to visit Istanbul and want to stay close to all the major attractions.

The hotel was in a perfect area to explore most of the attractions in Istanbul within walking distance. Our room was cozy and clean, but the view out of our window was terrible. Would be nice if they could at least add flowers or something nice to look at when your view is the backside of hotel on lower floor. We asked to be moved to upper floor but said they were fully booked. Make sure you pay for upgraded room so you don't end up with wanting to keep your drapes constantly closed. Front desk were all very nice. Breakfast was very good. Lots of options and beautiful spot to eat inside or out. Would stay again but pay for balcony/better view room.

Excellent Hotel to stay at. Friendly staff and great service. Room is spacious for a couple and we would definitely recommend an ocean side room for spectacular views. Lovely terrace where one can enjoy the istanbul skyline and admire the Blue Mosque and have an enjoyable turkish breakfast. Will be back on our next visit

It's a good place to stay in Istanbul. The breakfast is excellent, and the traditional food is good. It's a five-minute walk to Topkapi, Hagia Sofia, and the heart of history.

The Armada Istanbul Old City Hotel was an excellent choice for our first visit to Istanbul. It is within walking distance of many of the major sites to see--the Hagia Sofia, the Blue Mosque, the Basilica Cistern, and many hammams. In addition, there are tons of restaurants and cafes nearby. However, this is a very touristy area, with high-pressure hawks inviting you to come into their shop or restaurant, and we found this to be very tiring. It was a good location for our first visit, but if we were coming back, we would choose a hotel in a different area to get a more authentic experience. The hotel itself was wonderful, with a stunning view of the Hagia Sofia from the patio, and excellent service.

Good.. great roof top

We booked this hotel on the recommendation of a friend who was just there a few months ago. He was spot on: the location is great for walking to major sites, rooftop view is amazing, but room is small and food not so good. It's not a modern, contemporary hotel. It's older but not really quaint. Staff was indifferent.

I booked a Deluxe Sea View Room. What I got was a room with a view of a pink building and lots of tree branches. Through the branches you could see no more than 10% of the “ocean view.”

People in the hotel, including front desk receptionists, house keepers and its restaurant waiters, are all friendly, nice and accessible. We checked out at 3 am and surprised to find the receptionist and concierge were there. The concierge even accompanied us to the Uber taxi that we reserved earlier. We felt we were protected.

Father in law rushed into hospital for a procedure so we couldn’t travel. No refund or credit offer from the hotel. Mean spirited to say the least.

The hotel has a great location and the rooms are clean and comfortable. I had a bad experience with the restaurant that included charging for a bottle of water, which was never supplied (the glass appeared with about 3 cm of water in it), and ice cream being served with a fork. I also did not like the birds in cages, including one that was by itself in a small cage that did not even allow it to fly.
