The Sands at Grace Bay

It was a beautiful property the pictures i found in Pinterest were not the same as once we got there. I asked them about that and they said they were old pictures, which didn’t make any sense cause the old pictures look actually better than the new one, the kitchenette in our room really needed to be redone. It was very old. Other than that, everybody the staff was really friendly. Hemmingway‘s restaurant was delicious food. Thank you you have a beautiful island there.

beautiful property! the room is always kept clean and looks so luxurious. very comfortable and spacious, can’t complain about the room at all. the pools and the beach were amazing. very quiet and clean outside as well. the water at the beach was crystal clear. food on property is good too, the coffee is tasty. there’s a convenience store on the property, tennis court and bike rentals. everything is walking distance from the hotel as well. the hotel staff is very friendly and very welcoming. made the stay more enjoyable <3

The resort is nice but more dated than the online views reveal. The kitchen floor tile was chipped and broken in many places. Hair, trapped under the sink, The refrigerator was old, it was creeky and squeaked loudly each time we opened and closed the door. holes in the base of the bed covering frame under the mattress that were very visible. I took pics upon arrival just in case. A bit disappointing for the nightly rate charged but the balance of the resort was nice. Hemingways restaurant on site was fantastic. Ms. Carolyn the GM, made our anniversary . Also, the resort was unable to accommodate my request for a 3rd floor ocean view room. Oh, and for an ocean view keep in mind it’s not ocean front. We were in the farthest building from the ocean in building 6. Hard to see the water. Screened in porches were a plus but still was eaten alive outdoors by ‘noseeums’. The resort should perhaps invest in commercial auto spray for insects.

Absolutely terrible experience. We originally planned to stay for two nights, but due to the poor condition of the property and unprofessional behavior from the manager, we decided to leave and stay elsewhere. The room had a strong rust-like odor, and to make matters worse, while I was in the bathroom, I noticed water spilling out from another room — it was a complete mess. I’m extremely disappointed in this place.

Check-in was smooth and the staff was very friendly. Our room was missing linens for the fold-out couch, but room service brought sheets quickly and made the bed. However, they didn’t bring blankets, and when I called to request them, the staff seemed a bit irritated. I also stopped by the front desk a few times with questions and felt like I was bothering them. Most staff were pleasant, but there was a sense of inconvenience when helping guests. The pool areas were a highlight, with four pools and plenty of seating. However, there’s only one towel station located near Hemingway’s on the beach, and trash cans were limited. The resort also needs some minor repairs, such as cracks along the pool edges and visible damage under a small bridge over one of the pools. Beach access was great, with four entry points and lots of chairs and umbrellas. If more were needed, the beach staff quickly set them up. A downside was the lack of convenient foot rinse stations—only two on the property. The second one had a sandal rack but very low water pressure, which wasn’t ideal when the beach and restaurant areas were busy. Lastly, the toilet paper was very thin—upgrading to 2-ply would improve the experience.

This is a wonderful place to stay...So many polite employees to help you...So many things to do there....our 12 time there..

Nice landscaping and pool; helpful staff; good dining (Hemingways); some rooms aren't as pictured on website; only one elevator on site; overall was a good stay.

Beautiful resort in the middle of grace bay. Good restaurant on property, great beach and pool. Room was clean and spacious. Construction next door of large hotel was a little noisy but it didn’t really bother us.

Multigenerational family stayed here for 5 days and had a great time. The only issue beyond the control of the hotel was the noise of the construction for the new building next door. Clean, friendly, peaceful, and fun!

The hotel staff were not very friendly or helpful. Each day we had interactions with staff where they just seemed to be inconvenienced when helping us. Very strange since most resorts I've traveled to understand they are in the business of hospitality and exceptional service is important. This was confirmed when we traveled to a few other resorts to use their restaurants and the staff at other places went above and beyond to welcome and wait on us.

Loved the location, amazing beach, great and friendly staff, good dining options and close to the shops. This is construction next door and the tvs were broken but it didn’t bother us.

This resort is great! Wonderful location and great beach access with beach chairs, kayaking, and paddleboarding included! We spent a lovely weekend here and really enjoyed it.

The property was clean, well-maintained and was family friendly. Grace Bay is beautiful, gorgeous water, and they will pick you up on the beach at your hotel for any water excursions or tours you book. Lounge chairs and umbrellas are free and the beach attendants will set up your spot for you. We tried almost every thing on the menu at Hemingway's and we were never disappointed. The nice little downtown area for shopping and eating is just a short walk from The Sands. Take advantage of the free transportation to The Sands' sister hotels, The Palms and The Shore Club, where you can use the beach and eat at the restaurants. We had excellent food!!

Very clean, nice amenities, great staff and location.

Very small but nice resort. Beautiful beach and pretty good location. About 3/4 of mile into town. Rooms was clean but we ran into a lot of problems. Shower was clogged leaving it to overfill and go over where, toilet wouldn't flush well and a/c turned off and also had to get them to fix that. I will say they fixed everything in a timely manner.

This property is absolutely beautiful and the staff incredibly kind & helpful. The original room we were given smelled heavily of smoke (we requested a non smoking room because I have a smoke allergy) and when we entered the room, I immediately began to have an allergic reaction. My husband contacted the front desk and they offered us a humidifier, which was quickly brought up to our room. Unfortunately (and as expected) it didn't do anything so we had to approach the front desk again and request a room change. I absolutely HATED having to ask this (especially since we requested a non smoking room to begin with) and felt that the staff should've offered us a better solution quickler. We wasted the first two hours at this beautiful resort dealing with this. All that being said, the staff was very kind, friendly and helpful and the space is beautiful. As a family of five, we fit comfortably in the unit and I appreciated having a washer and dryer to do some clothes before we headed home. We have three kids and if we were there for longer than one night they would've been bored - the pool is small.

This is a lovely property with easy access to the beach. Grounds are beautiful. Food choices are available fairly close by.
