We had a lovely stay for 1 night and even received a free upgrade to the queen suite with hot tub. The staff were extremely polite and friendly. The bed and room facilities were great. Can’t wait to stay again.

This is such a lovely place to stay. Right by the station, not too expensive, really nice staff and clean. Sure it is a bit dated and parts of it could do with a refresh but my room had been recently renovated and i loved being so central.

Not quite so “Grand”. The staff are all great and doing their best with what they have. The hotel is in dire need of a refurbishment and maintenance; things such as decoration, faulty lights, and bathroom extractors sounding like a jet engine!
The windows are metal framed double glazing which generate masses of condensation and make the net curtains mouldy in areas.
Our room reported an extractor fan which didn’t turn off without removing the key card to remove all electricity from the room which was the only staff disappointment.
Such a shame as it’s a great location and the staff are wonderful. Owners please take note!

Worst hotel experience ever. I would not recommend anyone to book a stay there. The male staff members behavior was unacceptable!!! The room smells like damp and mold. We were refused another room in another area of the hotel. The sprayed perfume and had incense burning to try and hide the disgusting smell of the place.

Our stay overall was pleasant. However we noticed several light switches didn’t work, and our bedside lamps had no shades making them too bright. We couldn’t turn off the bathroom light without removing the card from the wall, and the floor was very cold, despite the air conditioning.
I would recommend this hotel for short term stays/business only unless you have your entire holiday planned out.

The hotel is situated slap bang in the city centre directly across the road from the station. The staff are always awesome, friendly, polite and generally engaging and efficient. I have to say the breakfast is top class, love breakfast in this place. Another pleasant stay.
