What does CHUBB Baggage Protection cover?

CHUBB Baggage Protection entails a coverage of up to Rp20.000.000 for loss and/or damage of your checked baggage, including the personal items inside. Coverage begins when you check your baggage at the airline check-in counter at the airport, and ends when you pick them up at your destination.

The details of the coverage are as follows:

CHUBB Baggage Protection coverage does not include the following items:

1. Amount of coverage is subject to wear and tear depreciation for items of more than one (1) year old.
2. Coverage for the personal items inside the checked baggage will only apply if the checked bag or suitcase itself is also damaged.
3. Loss or damage of checked baggage must be reported to the relevant airline within 24 hours.
4. If you receive compensations from any other source, CHUBB will only be liable for the excess of the amount recoverable from such other source.

CHUBB Baggage Protection coverage does not include the following items:

1. Electronic goods (e.g. laptops, mobile phones, iPads)
2. Computers, including software and accessories
3. Cameras and camera lenses
4. Jewellery and watches
5. Animals
6. Motor vehicles, aircraft, and other similar transportation equipments, including parts of such equipments
7. Artificial limbs, false teeth, eyeglasses, contact lenses, or corneal lenses
8. Tickets, except for the administrative fees required for tickets reissuance
9. Coupons, negotiable instruments, deeds, manuscripts, money, stamps, stocks and bonds, postal or money orders, or other valuable documents
10. Items shipped prior to the flight’s departure date
11. Credit cards
12. Contraband
13. Commercial goods or samples, or other items meant for trade
14. Food
15. Other items that, according to the airline, are not allowed to be carried in the checked baggage.

Terms & Conditions

The terms and conditions of CHUBB Baggage Protection are as follows:

1. Only valid for Indonesian citizens and foreigners with an Indonesian residency, work, or study permit.
2. Once your booking is complete, the insurance certificate and policy wording will be sent to your email.
3. The main Insured Person must be at least 18 years old.
4. Only valid for checked baggage in flights originating from Indonesia.
5. Coverage begins when baggage is delivered to the airport check-in counter and ends when baggage is picked up at the destination.
6. Insurance is non-refundable.
7. All insurance-related matters after purchase are solely between the Insured Person and PT Chubb General Insurance Indonesia.
8. The amount of Benefits paid to the Insured Person is fully dependent on the policy of the insurance vendors. Traveloka will not be held responsible for the amount paid to the Insured Person.
9. Claims should be submitted within 30 days from the date of incident. Any documents or evidence required by CHUBB to verify the claim shall be provided by the Insured Person at his/her own expenses.

How to Claim

Insurance claim can be submitted online, or through email or posted mail. To submit your insurance claim, please follow the steps below.

Claim Submission via Online

1. Submit your claim online via http://www.chubbclaims.com within 30 days from the date of incident.
2. Complete the relevant sections and questions in the online form, and attach all the required supporting documents according to the instruction. Missing out details or documents will result in the need for clarification and thus will delay the assessment of your claim.
3. Once the claim has been submitted, you will receive a confirmation of your claim number within three (3) working days after CHUBB has received your documents.

Claim Submission via Email or Posted Mail

1. Download a copy of CHUBB Travel Insurance claim form here.Your claim must be submitted within 30 days from the date of incident.
2. Complete the relevant sections and questions of the claim form, and attach all the required supporting documents. Missing out details will result in the need for clarification and thus will delay the assessment of your claim.
3. Your claim form and supporting documents may be submitted by email at claims.id@chubb.com or via post to CHUBB offices.
4. Once the claim has been submitted, you will receive a confirmation of your claim number within three (3) working days (for claims submitted via email) or within five (5) working days (for posted claims) after CHUBB has received your documents.
