Taking the train is an effective way to explore Taiwan. From the extensive network system provided by the Taiwan Railway Administration (TRA) to Taiwan High Speed Rail (THSR)’s bullet trains on the west coast, you can just get about anywhere in the country easily and quickly.

How to Redeem Your 3-day Pass

Buy your pass at least one day before usage
You cannot buy and use your pass on the same day.

Your voucher will be sent via email after payment is confirmed. We recommend that you print the voucher as it might be needed by the counter staff when you pick up the pass later.

Select your pass usage date and reserve your seats through the THSR website (learn more) or the THSR station counter
You can do this at the earliest 28 days before your pass usage date, 29 days (if usage begins on a Saturday), or 30 days (if usage begins on a Sunday). Any changes regarding the period will be informed through the THSR website.

Pick up your physical pass at the THSR counter
Present your Traveloka voucher and passport to the staff to get your pass.

To board the train, make your way to the manned gate and show the staff your pass and passport.
How to Redeem Your Flexible 2-day Pass

Select your pass usage dates
For THSR trains, you can select the dates and reserve your seats through the THSR website (learn more) or the THSR counter station. You can do this at the earliest 28 days before your pass usage date, 29 days (if usage begins on a Saturday), or 30 days (if usage begins on a Sunday). Any changes regarding the period will be informed through the THSR website. For TRA trains, you need to select the dates at the selected TRA counters at the station.

At each counter, present your Traveloka voucher and passport to the staff to get your pass.

How to Redeem Your 5-day Express Joint Pass

Any changes regarding the period will be informed through the THSR website. For TRA trains, you need to do this at the selected TRA counters at the station.

Present your Traveloka voucher and passport to the staff to get your ticket.

Use your ticket
To board the train, make your way to the manned gate and show the staff your ticket and passport. Don’t throw your ticket away as the staff will check your ticket when you exit the station.

THSR Online Redemption and Reservation
Available only for THSR TrainsHow to Redeem THSR Pass/Ticket Online
- Go to https://pass.thsrc.com.tw and select Manage.
- Enter your redeem code/order number and passport number. Then, select Send.
- See the details of your pass/ticket. If you just want to redeem for one passenger, select Redeem on one passenger. If you would like to redeem for more than one passenger, select the Passenger Icon on the right corner and choose which passengers you would like to redeem for. Select Select All and then select Confirm.

Then, choose the date you want to use your pass/ticket. Select Confirm to redeem your pass.
If you would like to reserve a seat immediately, select Reserve and follow the instructions below starting from number 3.
How to Reserve Seats on THSR Trains Online
- Go to https://pass.thsrc.com.tw and select Manage.
- Enter your redeem code/order number and passport number. Then, select Send.
- If you want to reserve a seat for one passenger, select Reserve on one passenger. If you want to reserve a seat for multiple passengers, select the Calendar Icon on the right corner and choose which passengers you would like to reserve seats for. Select Select All and then select Confirm.
- After that, choose your travel date, departure date, departure station and arrival station. Then, select Confirm.

See the trains available for your journey. Select Earlier or Later to see other available schedules. Then, select the train(s) you want to take and select Confirm. If you bought a pass and would like to make another reservation, select the arrow icon (↻) on the right corner.
Please note that you can only reserve 5 trains online. If you would like to reserve more, please please do it at the THSR counter in the station. - After you select the train(s) you want to take, select Confirm and your seat on the train(s) will be secured.
How to Change Your Travel Dates and Seat Reservation Online
- You can change your travel date at the latest at 23:58 on the day prior to your first specified travel date. However, if you already reserved a train on your first specified travel date, you can change your travel date at the latest 30 minutes before your first train departs.
- You can change your train reservation at the latest 30 minutes before your first reserved train on your first travel date departs.
- For One-way Ticket, you can only change your train reservation once.
- You cannot change your travel date(s) and train reservation(s) online after you pick up your physical pass/ticket.
- Go to https://pass.thsrc.com.tw and select Manage.
- Enter your redeem code and passport number. Then, select Send.
- Select Cancel Redemption to cancel your travel date(s), which will remove your train reservation(s) as well. If you would only like to cancel your train reservation(s), just select Edit and select the X Icon on the train you would like to cancel. You can then proceed to redeem and/or reserve your pass/ticket again.
