This hotel is located right on the waterfront downtown so it is very conveniently located for going to for meals and exploration of the city. I found that the room was comfortable and quiet. My room had a balcony so I could step outside and enjoy the view of the St Lawrence River. There is a restaurant in the hotel which I had breakfast in. I thought the food was decent and the staff working in it very friendly. One thing to note is that the hotel charges you to park in their parking lot. As of this review date it was $30 per night. Which I thought was a tad excessive. I do recommend this hotel and will be staying here again for my next visit to Kingston.

Stayed this past weekend, nice hotel withing walking distance to the slush puppy arena which is why I picked it. Staff were all very lovely, the pool was also nice. Change rooms at the pool would have been nice - there's none, and no bathroom either. The room was nice. Bedding was all very clean. Would have been nice if the glass doors to the harbor were cleaned, they were pretty dirty. And underneath the floating vanity had the usual dust bunnies (my toddler went under to grab a toy and we had to brush off the dust bunnies so I don't think it's cleaned under there too frequently). Overall nice hotel. Would stay again!

We had an excellent stay at the Holiday Inn Kingston Waterfront for on-site team meetings—great on all levels. The guest room was spacious, clean, and very well appointed, with a super comfortable bed and plenty of outlets for laptops and devices. I especially loved the fully walk-out balcony with stunning waterfront views—it was a real highlight. Free Wi‑Fi was strong and reliable throughout the hotel, with only one quick login required. Our meetings were held in the Islandview Ballroom, which was absolutely fantastic—filled with natural light and offering beautiful views of the water. Breakfast and lunch were catered and both were outstanding: generous portions, great variety, and fresh, delicious food. A special shout-out to Rory, our Sales Manager, and Katie, our Catering Manager. They were incredibly accommodating and flexible, even with multiple last‑minute changes and requests. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, professional, and eager to help. Most importantly, the entire team had a great experience—including my boss! We would happily return for our next team event.

The room didn't smell very fresh. In fact I had to open the door to the balcony to try and air it out a bit but with no screen door it was impossible to leave open. Also it had a rather noisey AC/heat unit. TV reception was very spotty / not watchable on over half of the channels. It was a nice location for a stroll in down town Kingston or if a cruise on a boat is your desire.

Molly and Shashika deserve tons of kudos! Not only for exemplorary service, but the food presentation was second to none! Plus Molly made delicious Mojito cocktails that weren't even on the menu!! Thanks to both of them for making our stay so enjoyable!!
