I like the kids area and pool options however i did not like the elevators theu were so small and when trying to get our stuff downstairs to check out was very difficult . 2nd floor ice machine was not working no bath in our room only stamd up shower water pressure was very hard the drive around area to pull up to hotel was difficult to get in qnd out of due to high traffic also had to pay for hotel parking and it was hard to find parking if you left the garage overall wasnt very pleasant. We did enjoy the pool areas

This is the second time I stayed here for the 4th of July Holiday and this hotel definitely needs some updating and improvements. Last year we had a horrible leak in the ceiling and this year it was no different. Different room and different floor and we had another leak in the room and part of the ceiling were buckling to the point where maintenance had to come in and do patch work. This is definitely the last time I am staying at this hotel with my family. Some of the amenities are great but to pay $2100 and have room issues is insane. The buffet was good but definitely overpriced. The good part of the breakfast buffet and hotel is that kids eat free. But the two women who accepted payments at the breakfast buffet were often rude. The 3 pools and bar are always awesome and the best part of our stay. The staff at the outdoor bar is often very friendly and helpful especially when you have multiple little children. I won’t be staying here again until renovations are completed.

This place has potential if they did some serious renovations! After checking in we were charged 10 dollars a night for parking as well as 40 dollars a night for insurance deposit! Insurance deposit was returned back after 5 days! We had to be moved to another room after the first room because the ceiling drywall was falling on the floors and bed as you walked! The hallways were extremely hot as there is no working ac in the hallways! No washing machines were working only dryers! We were on the 2nd floor and the ice machine wasn’t working! The elevators were so small that you could only fit 4 people in as well as the elevators were very slow working! We were there for 4 days and we made the best of it! All in all we did like the indoor and outdoor pools for the kids and liked that it was right on the beach

We booked Holiday Inn but was put in adjacent hotel theybown. Very outdated and a bug running acriss bathroom floor!

Stay was good but not great. Arrived at 5:00 pm and had to wait until 6:30 to get into our room…. Check in time says 4:00 pm. As an “appology” we were given our choice of 10% off a very over-priced restaurant or two free drinks. Neither of those were attractive to us. Property is old but beds were comfortable and clean. However, we booked 5 guests and there was no bedding for the sofa sleeper and we were informed that since house keeping had left for the day we would have to return to the front desk and retrieve them for our selves! Overall: great resting place and fun stay with poor guest relations!

Overall the stay was very enjoyable. The room was clean, however, there were areas of caked up dust and there was mold on the bathroom ceiling. Areas of the rug were loose and coming up or off of the wall. The staff was friendly and the area around the hotel offered convenience for food and entertainment. I would stay here again in the future when visiting the Virginia Beach area.

This was by far one me of the worst places I have ever stayed for vacation. I thought about booked a suite which was not the case. Since I booked through Expedia the front desk lady dismissed me instantly. Not trying to accommodate with anything. Saying there was nothing that they could do. The room was extremely small and smelled. My toilet kept having issues. One elevator that worked that included the service elevator. The wait time on this is ridiculous. Then to get into the elevator the smell and the extreme heat is unbearable. Not a single ice machine worked in all 7 floors. I called several times to the front desk never getting answered. The service for the toilet was an issue. At the time my partner was taking a shower I asked if you could come back in 10 minutes never showed. The breakfast was outrageous. The hostess was extremely rude and not nice at all. Giving me the price of $40.95. I told I didn't receive my volchers. I finally got them after waiting for awhile. I finally sit down and the service and food was terrible. Nothing was hot everything was cold and gross. Couldn't get my juice or a child's cup. It was just bad all 3 days. I would eat the fruit but every thing was bad. How anyone would pay $40 for this is out of my mind. Through out the stay I witness employees smoking pot and cigarettes on the roof. Also, my cash was stolen it was just $30 however seriously who is tipping g that much their first night there. They ought to be a shame of thems

The amenities were great. The pools are really nice. There are three. One is a party friendly pool with a bar/grill right next to the pool. The doors are open right at the poolside. The second pool is on the other side of the hotel and has water slides and a small lazy river. The third pool is indoors and is like a lazy river. It also has a jacuzzi. The rooms are older, but the beds are comfortable, and the view of the oceanfront is perfect. It has a Keurig, microwave, and small fridge. If you want a full ocean view, be sure to book the rooms that say “Oceanfront” otherwise you’ll only get a partial ocean view with the pool view as well. Overall it’s a great spot for a budget friendly beachfront family vacation.

I took my kids on a last minute staycation at this Holiday Inn specifically for the family-friendly aspect. Although the price was high for a 2 night stay the day after 4th of July, the kid friendly amenities seemed to be worth it. Kids ate for free at any of their 3 on-site locations as well as off the pool side menu, there was a movie theatre w/movie & time options throughout the day that gave out free popcorn, & a kids play room with various activities to choose from. Upon arrival, the valet guy who worked both nights we were there, did a great job w/guiding vehicles. Although they didn’t have the option to help w/luggage, he was good at communicating esp during the busy time of our check in. The young lady at the front desk made my check in easy & efficient (I believe her name was Natalie). The lady who ran the hostess stand at the breakfast restaurant, The Greenry, was also very efficient in making sure the busy flow of guests ran smooth. Every staff member I received helped from seemed to very nice on top of helpful. I appreciated that. But, I had a big issue w/the lack of cleanliness. Our hotel bathroom looked like it wasn’t scrubbed, and smelled like it wasn’t cleaned. The bedroom side table hadn’t been wiped bc the bottom was dusty. I didn’t see anyone try to clean any of the pools during the day. In between the pool lounge chairs, and lounge chairs weren’t maintained through the day either.

This hotel despite being an older hotel is in immaculate condition, the staff are wonderful and the hotel has so much to offer, the square whale was a beautiful place to soak in the views and service was wonderful! The pools were sparkling clean and the late night swim with their hours were a nice added touch as we had a late arrival! Will be back with our family for an extended stay!

We couldn't check in when we got there. Understandable it was 330. We sat and waitied for hours only ti find out the persin who i spoke to when i got there checked me into my room so it said occupied so it never got cleaned from previous person. I have a son with special needs and i had already let him swim for 2 hours and it was dinner time. I was so upset. Then there was no hot water. In my riom. We left a night early disappointed didnt even bother to try and get my money back.

Room was disgusting. Stains all over ceiling and floor. Lots of Mold in the in-room coffee maker! The 3 pool areas were showing age, but overall nice. Staff was nice enough, but overall for the cost was disappointed with the cleanliness / condition of the room.

Nice stay, comfortable room with a beautiful view! Easy access to the beach. My family and I had a really good time. We've stayed here before and will return again. Different management and some of the ladies were not professional at the front desk. Viktor was exceptionally helpful!😊

The finishes in the room and TV are much in need of updates. A/C is functional but loud.That said, the oceanfront location and the 4 pools (1 indoor) are a big plus. We are live an hour away. So it will be a repeat weekend getaway, walkable to eats, to include a couple of vegan friendly eateries.
