Absolutely lovely resort! Snorkeling right out front just steps from our oceanfront unit. Four restaurants onsite-no need to head to town. Staff very accommodating. Loved our restful stay and will return in 2026!

I have visited this place for years and this is the first time that everything went wrong. Late check in, until 7:00pm and I had to fight for an adequate room, they never cleaned the room on time, I had to ask. The phone didn’t work, I had to ask for another one. Beach was not as clean as usual. Scuba diving was perfect. Restaurants always great with great staff. But rooms, they do need maintenance.

Weirdlyvstuck in the 70s. Our room flooded from a water main break and it took them four hours to fix it. The resort is super boring. There is no music, no enterainment, nothing. I literally dont understand how they can even call it a resort.

What we liked: the setting, rooms, pools and the gym. The staff were very friendly and professional. The snorkeling just off the resort is amazing. Average: The breakfast was average, the coffee was terrible. Also, the other meals we ate at El Caribeno, Le Cap were okay. The food and desserts at Alfredo di Roma was better. What we did not like: Coffee was terrible, the courtesy call in the middle of the afternoon when we were napping was incredibly inappropriate. The weather was quite hot and humid for early April.

The best hotel I’ve stayed at in 7 trips to Mexico. No, it’s not all-inclusive but Cozumel is so expensive that the restaurants on site aren’t that wildly overpriced by comparison. Breakfast buffet is totally worthwhile. We could snorkel directly off the beach. It’s also not so far down the hotel zone that it’s a huge trek into town; it’s really not that far at all. From the service to the food to the staff and amenities, this place is absolutely top notch.

El Presidente facilities, staff, and food are excellent! Beautiful and convenient location. The dive shop on site was great and the staff there were top notch. My only gripe is the beach chairs share an uncomfortable design. Can’t lay sideways or in certain ways because of a bar under your back. Nice and sturdy chairs, but bad design. We will return and would recommend to others!

Snorkelling was good. Seemed understaffed. Restaurants really pricey as was the accommodation. Could have stayed 2 weeks at Secrets for same price and everything would have been included.
