Donna and I stayed at the hotel and, overall, our stay was fine. However, our checkout experience left us with a very poor impression. We were checking out one day early, and when I arrived at the front entrance around 8:30–9:00 a.m., the door was locked. I could see two staff members at the front desk, but instead of offering assistance, I was met with confused looks and gestures to press a button that wasn’t obvious or easy to find. After finally getting inside, I was greeted with an attitude that made me feel as though I had done something wrong or wasn’t capable of figuring out a simple door. I was only trying to check out early, yet the interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional. The rest of our stay was acceptable, but the way we were treated during checkout left a lasting negative impression that unfortunately overshadowed the rest of the visit.

The hotel was great and walking distance to parliament building. We loved that it had a kitchen and was pet friendly. Staff was very helpful and kind. However, there were a lot of homeless people in this area… maybe because the hotel is across the street from a shelter?

The room was very comfortable. All appliances were very clean.

Nice hotel in a what is now unfortunately a very sketchy part of town.

We had a two bedroom suite. The main bathroom did not have any bath towels. Both my husband and myself had to use hand towels to dry after our morning shower. The next day only one bath towel left. More towels were requested and delivered. Previous quests left the room safe locked, so had to contact the front desk to the safe unlocked and they did come in a timely manner. The floors felt very gritty. It could use a really good washing. The neighbourhood didn’t feel overly safe. There is a homeless shelter across the street.

I had some issues with animal allergies in my first room and let the front desk know. They called as soon as a new room was available and helped us move. Was very impressed

We did not expect to be assigned a one-room apartment-style hotel room. As a family of four, it wasn't the ideal setup, as two of us had to sleep on the sofa bed. It was quite loud at night time That said, the location was excellent, and the room was spacious. We also appreciated the in-room amenities, including a washing machine, dishwasher, and other conveniences, which made our stay more comfortable

Very poor parking. The parking they had was full and another spot we couldn’t park cause we had a truck and went to another public parking spot. All parking is $33 a day. The room was older. It was okay for clean. The bed and washroom was clean but the floor wasn’t.

A laundry in the room was most helpful.

Room layout and full kitchen was great overall.. water pressure in the showers was to weak.. only 3 elavators but usually 2 working for guests as staff use 1 for service.. this creates long waiting times going up and down as needed. Underground Parking easy to get in and out of… the location of hotel is very close to parliament hill and just a short walk to many great shops and restaurants in Byward market..

One elevator was down the duration of our stay, which caused large crowds to board an elevator and long wait times. Room was clean and big inside. Location was great. Would stay again.

Despite leaving the sign on the door requesting daily housekeeping, our room was not cleaned. Only the garbage was taken away. As we were staying with an infant, having the room cleaned regularly would have made our stay much more comfortable. This was disappointing, as cleanliness is especially important when traveling with a young child.

The room was filthy, dirty floors, dirty utensils, dead bugs on the floor. Garbage bags overflowing into the hallway from the garbage rooms. The hallways smelled, elevators were never working, chewed gum along the pool deck. It was dated, old, and dirty. We will be staying somewhere else next time.

Clean spacious apartment suite with full kitchen and in suite washer/dryer. Comfortable for family stay with kids. Great location next door to CF Rideau mall and walking distance to all downtown attractions and parliament hill. The only issue is the 3 elevators are super busy in the mornings during checkout time.
