Pool too busy at weekends with people just paying for the day, not a good experience

Best place to stay on Copacabana and Ipanema. We started off at JW Marriott and that was so bad we paid the big difference and stayed here. Worth every penny. Everything here on point. Great staff. Great breakfast. Would return in a heartbeat

Delightful historic hotel with exceptional service. Eduardo, our bellman, in particular, continually went above and beyond.

Postives: great service from the staff, and the food was good. Negative: the hotel feels dated and in need of a renovation. For high end luxury prices (similar to 5* hotels in NYC or London), this didn’t feel like good value
