We booked the family room with a cot to stay ahead of our early morning flight. I sent a message to the hotel several days prior to arrival checking there would be a cot but didn’t receive a reply. I called the day before requesting a cot and was told there would be one ready in the room. We arrived at 6pm and asked if the cot had been provided, we were told this would be brought to the room ‘right away’ we waited half an hour and no cot, I called the reception desk from the room and was told it would be there in 10 minutes. We waited the 10 minutes and still no cot. We went to reception and was told it had been taken to the wrong room. Finally we got the cot. I brought my own bedsheets for the cot as my daughter is sensitive to some washing powders, when I put the sheet on I noticed the mattress was stained. Aside from that, the hotel was nice, but difficult to get to on foot from the airport (especially with a pram).

Nice clean room , spacious. Staff were helpful and friendly. Bar and restaurant was good , food very nice . No water in the room or a fridge , shower gel was empty, I felt these shouldn’t have been missed .

Close to airport transportation hub

Unfortunately there was a lot of, what we thought was, Aircon noise even though we turned ours off.

Everything just friendly as normal, breakfast is great, evening meal was ok, Staff were great, so no problem for me.

Convenient near airport

The room was serviceable. The reception staff very ordinary and unprofessional. When we arrived after a long trip we were greeted by Thea with “Name”. We were not asked if we wanted a dinner booking or provided with information on check out times. When I raised these issues with the Operations Manager I was offered one drink voucher even though I was with my husband.

This hotel was close to the train station, which was helpful. However, the property is very worn and is in serious need of renovation and updating, especially in the bathrooms. Further, we were informed that we would be charged almost £4 per person to use the shuttle service to the airport. I have never had to pay for the airport shuttle at an “airport hotel” We specifically chose this property for its proximity to the airport and the airport’s train station, expecting to be able to take the complementary shuttle to the airport for our early morning flight. We won’t stay here again.
