Beautiful, staff great

The moutain view is actually a view over other buildings and rubbish bins so a waste of money. The spa they advertise is actually at their sister hotel to which you have to walk to - not ideal. The breakfast is very basic. Rooms are spacious and comfortable and most of the staff (with some exeptions unfortunately) is nice. Ski lifts are actually about 10 min walk away. Overall not impressed and would not stay here again.

Loved the boutique hotel located on the square. Super convenient and accessible.

Great service, extremely friendly staff. Rooms a bit dark and drab, and could use a renovation. Heating can’t be controlled individually from each room and the hotel tends to be very warm . We tried opening windows at night but the area around hotel is quite noisy so this doesn’t work. Also the hotels ski locker room is way too small, crowded and uncomfortable. This needs work. Breakfast is included and was plentiful and great quality ingredients. Staff go out of their way to make you happy and meet your every need.

Centrally located, easy to get to everything, quiet, convenient

We love this hotel so so much! The staff are super nice and helpful. We had issues with our snowboard gears that we had to ship from the US and they were so responsive to all my emails and were very helpful. We are so grateful to them especially Iliana and Sarah. They truly provide the best service. Very friendly and accommodating. The hotel itself is old but I wouldn’t say outdated at all. It has character. We wouldn't have it any other way. We had the view of the Matterhorn from our balcony which was awesome! The location is within walking distance to everything. The breakfast, especially the salmon benedicts that we ate for 4 days straight, were so good. We loved the friendly staff and service during breakfast as well. We loved the access to the pool and spa of the sister hotel as well. So highly recommend this hotel and will go back.

We actualy were move over to Mont Cervin Palace (Sister property). Wonderful experience. Staff exceptional in every way. Helpfull and friendly. Property: wonderful. Great breakfast and breakfast staff. Pool was very nice. We were primarily hiking in the area so it was nice to have a pool available at the end of a long day in the mountains. Location: centre of the town. Everything is walkable. Loads of pubs and restaurants within a couple of minutes. I recommend and would stay here again.

We reserved a room in March of 2024 for September. One week before our arrival we got an email saying our reservation was cancelled. No explanation. We were told we could reserve a room at one of their sister hotels. After three separate calls through Expedia, who called the hotel we chose, we were told we would receive email confirmation of the new room. We never received email confirmation. We arrived at the hotel with our supposed new room only to find we didn’t have a reservation. Thankfully, their sister hotel had a room available and figured things out for us. They were extremely accommodating and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. It’s hard to rate Monte Rosa accurately as we our only interaction was a cancelled reservation. As it turns out, their entire hotel was closed, but again, we have not explanation as to why. We would definitely go back their five star palace sister hotel again though.

Important to note that there is no driving in Zermatt so parking is in the adjacent town where you take the train in. Small vehicles will take you from the station to the hotel and everything is highly walkable. The hotel is well centered in the city and the staff is amazing. It's the oldest hotel in the city and has a lot of neat history.

Great, charming hotel in walkable distance from the main attractions: Gornergrat train and Matterhorn Glacier Paradise cable car stations. Our room was large and very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend choosing Monta Rosa for a stay in Zermatt!
