My family had a wonderful stay at this lovely hotel. The staff are extremely friendly and inviting. The breakfast was delicious with many options daily from fresh eggs to home style waffles. The pool was clean and a place where many guest relaxed after spending time in the nearby parks. Our room was spectacularly clean, the housekeeping definitely takes pride in their work and it shows. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you’re traveling to starved rock or Matthiessen state parks.

We did not arrive until 10:30. The gentleman that checked us in was very nice! He gave us some info for the next day, gave us an extra blanket when requested. Breakfast was good and better than a lot of other places we’ve stayed at. Our room was very room, air worked great, and bathroom large. Would definitely stay again

Room smelled musty, especially the fridge, which was rancid. Rest of room was fine otherwise. Check-in process was delayed, due to seemingly known/common issue with Expedia reservations. Had to connect with Expedia customer support, who then had to contact the property to resolve the issue.

We stopped there overnight on our way to Michigan. It was Very clean, Good breakfast, friendly staff. Price was reasonable.

A very simple, low-key, clean, reasonably priced place to lay your head at night. Have stayed here a number of times over the years while on Starved Rock hiking trips. I would recommend.
