Great place to stay

Parking was easy and gave a lovely short walk to the hotel inside the castle gates. The lot felt very secure. Our room was clean, beds were very comfy, and breakfast was delicious (best baguette and lots of variety).

We loved the medieval elements of the lobby and the views out of our room overlooking the garden. The staff was wonderful - kudos to Maxim our porter and the friendly young lady at the desk - both were so helpful and welcoming. Our stay was lovely and relaxing - we especially liked walking the quiet streets at night.

One of very few places to stay in the walled town. For those walking from the railway station, it's the first place you get to when entering through the city walls.

We loved our stay at the Donjon! The location is very convenient to all of the sites. The staff were also very welcoming and helpful. Wish we could have stayed longer!

An absolutely magical stay. The location is incredible, like something out of a fairy tale. Staff were warm, friendly, polite and welcoming. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfasts were excellent. I went in winter so the old city was quiet at night, but there were still a couple of great restaurants open, and walking the citadel after dark with nobody around is a breathtaking experience. Can't wait to return!

Charming place. Staff were very helpful. This is located in the fort and you need a shuttle car to get in. Stairs are dark and room is small but clean. We also bought breakfast before our exploration. Breakfast was adequate but very fresh and tasty. Carcasonne is a must visit place for us. Rooms are good for sleep but don’t expect much amenities due to its age.

First of all, my husband & I fell in love with Carcassonne, this hotel, and the staff (Jean, Stephen and Tiffany) who were friendly and helpful. We were excited to be staying inside the castle walls. The room was clean, spacious, quiet, and facing the castle walls. The inside of the hotel had an Old World feeling, warm, and decorated for Christmas. In short, it was lovely! We took a taxi from the train station. The driver said it was forbidden for him to enter the city walls so he dropped us off at a parking lot where he instructed us to push a call button for the hotel driver to get us. Sure enough in a few minutes a driver picked us up (free ride).

despite being the middle of winter, the staff were attentive and the location was lovely, very Christmassy. Room was great.

Room was clean and spacious. Finding this hotel is a bit challenging as the gps put us on an alleyand you cant get to the hotel with our own car . I climbed up 3 flights of stairs, got into the rampants and had to ask people where this hotel is. We finally found it. Gave the location to my husband (in the car). The hotel then sends someone to guide my husband to the parking lot. The guide then put all our luggages in his little carand drive them up to the hotel. Other than this, it was a pleasant stay.
