Capsis Astoria is very conveniently located. It’s on the bus route to and from the airport so getting there is 1.20€. It’s also next door to the Heraklion archeological museum and on the bus route to Knossos. There are multiple restaurants nearby ranging from casual cafes to fine dining. We highly recommend Pemptos Ntore restaurant just across the way on the fifth floor. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating, letting us check in when we arrived at 11 am. The breakfast is substantial. We enjoyed sitting at the pool and having a drink. They have a small version of a Greek windmill on the roof. Very Instagram friendly. We recommend it highly.

Clean comfortable room. Great beach access.

The property was a bit dated and not the most clean, but it is located in a good area near a lot of things and really good food that locals love. The staff was great and really attentive.

Our group had 3 rooms. The front desk upgraded all of us to suites for the one night stay. We were able to walk to the museum which is less than a block. The front desk helped us with transportation to Knossos and to the ferry.

I typically stay here for work trips to HER - Thia is the 6/7th time I've been here and it has an amazing rooftop bar (with great food!) to watch the sunset and work (or to catch some sun). I love the hotel and it's super close to everything. If you feel lazy there is also a gun there so it covers everything. Thank you Capsis team ❤️

Superb! Great Hotel in the heart of Heraklion! Room was clean and comfortable, staff are friendly and helpful! Lovely buffet breakfast and beautiful rooftop pool, bar & restaurant!

Great place very central to everything. Very helpful staff, breakfast included was great, rooftop pool and bar was fantastic, we had a ball! Would stay again!!

Nice and comfortable a little noisy at night.

The location was close enough to the port for walking and sightseeing. It was also very close to the museum. The service was exceptional. I would definitely stay there again.

Great stay

A wonderful stay. Hotel was centrally located with great access to everything. Rooftop pool and bar was a particular highlight. Cannot recommend enough for a stay in Heraklion. Staff were so friendly and helpful too.

Beds are way too old and uncomfortable.

Hotel was awful, very outdated. There was a terrible musty smell in our room that doesn’t go away, so bad. The bed was very low and hard, no comfort. Flooring was also peeling away. Shower head did not work properly, was broken. Very old, needs a big revamp!
