Very family friendly; breakfast buffet was amazing

The best reception we have had in the last ten hotels we have recently stayed at. Family friendly. Nothing negative to report.

We stayed for a night on the way home from Germany. We knew not to judge the hotel from the outside. The reception, restaurant and bar area are really great and it was very child friendly. The room was quiet but artex over the walls and ceiling so it felt like we were sleeping in an iced cake! The lady in reception (Torchwood fan) was amazing. She spoke great English and really helped when I needed her to speak to the kitchen to see if they could do a basic off menu pasta meal for my daughter who has sensory issues. The pool was small and cold but it was 30 degrees at 5pm so very much enjoyed. Breakfast was included and great choice for all of us including soya milk.

Perfectly acceptable for a business trip. Clean rooms, good staff, good shower, good WiF and good location.

Very nice place to spend a night on a long road trip. Nice atmosphere and large and comfortable room (superior room). The breakfast was great and well worth the expense.

Nice hotel- met all expectations. Room was comfortable and clean. Perhaps a little dated.

Always good service, excellent location. Rooms miss air con. Recommend. Possible slight optimisations in terms of hoovering and leaving the famous Novotel Pencil….

Location.. almost impossible to find. not actually in Valenciennes.

The hotel is very nice; just off the highway but you wouldn't know it. Clean, comfortable and perfect location for our trip.

Dinner still served at 10PM- was just what was needed

Helpful reception dealt with lack of light bulbs by changing our room. He told us he had given us an upgrade. Unfortunately the original room was much nicer. It was too late and we were too tired to move again. We didn't like the hotel menu and had to search the local area for somewhere to eat. it was difficult in a strange area in the dark. the hotel in on an industrial estate.

Staff were nice enough but got over charged when leaving.

Well appointed hotel coping very well whilst some'work' being carried out in the foyer area. No lift available. Easy access from autoroute for a stop over.
