The room we were in was ok but not great. Kinda grubby. Bed was worn out; big dip on one side. Breakfast was good.

Hotel was outdated, bathroom was noted to have a strong musty smell and black mold in the corners. Beautiful building, friendly staff centrally located.

Our hotel room was not clean. Cigarette left in window, windows dirty with cobwebs. Dust on desk and bedside cabinets. Even old dirt on staircase to bedroom and again cobwebs in windows

I loved the courtyard. It was beautiful. The bed was very comfortable and checkout was a breeze.

The location was excellent for exploring Stirling and the staff were friendly and professional. The room was clean and the bed comfortable but the decor was incredibly outdated and the bathroom tatty with rust around the taps and eroding grout. There was no central bedroom light, just a couple of side lights which added to the dark and gloomy feel. The spa was again clean but the changing rooms were incredibly old. The presence of a swimming instructor literally bellowing instructions at children destroyed any potential element of relaxation.

Leaking ceiling first night. Initially told the hotel was full so would I be happy to just have a bucket in the room. When I refused, a room was found. New room was ok - but tired-looking, ver poor shower and could hear the next room even though they weren’t being particularly loud.

Definitely not a 4*. More of a 2 star by North American standards. Young man of Irish descent at the bar was awesome. Front desk staff not so much. We were given an accessible room for some reason? Didn’t ask dor or request it. Hotel was VERY dated and run down. Looks like it hasn’t had any improvements since the 70s.

Booked in at 5pm for one night with breakfast, very quiet and not much atmosphere, needs updated, £10 parking permit to stay overnight (£94 total) and checked out at 11am with a dinner bill for £75 when checking out, we didn’t have dinner ?? credit was paid back to my card, someone else had the pleasure of using my room number, not worth a return visit and not much of an apology about being charged for dinner, when entering the dining room for breakfast no proof of staying there was questioned , this should be observed, anyone could have walked in from the street chancing a free meal, just shows you how things have changed since lockdown, no one gives the personal touch anymore!!!!

Nice place to stay, the lady at check in could have been a little nicer. The room was ok, the carpet was very worn in the room.

Had a great time at The Stirling Highland Hotel, staff were very friendly, rooms and bed comfortable and breakfast good. Gym and swimming pool an added bonus. Near the centre of Stirling.

We booked three nights in Stirling, we had little to no expectations of this hotel as we simply decided the town was a good location for our visit. We loved this hotel, will definitely stay again and highly recommend.
