excellent place , staff and everything would definitely be back

Great Hotel excellent service very nice and clean

Had a good stay, the beach was gorgeous, the property was very nice, nice swimming pools and amenities. the food could be better, but was ok, some of the staff was nice but some could learn to be more courteous. I would definitely return again to this resort.

Poor service, poor quality food, little to no entertainment, and cats in dinning area. Never again

Beach it's great-property it's very nice-buildings are great The FOOD AND RESTAURANTS ARE AWFUL-STAFF NOT so great I stayed before in other ALL INCLUSIVE RESORTS AT BAVARO & PUNTA CANA & PAY much less p/night than ALTRA ALTRA has NOT COMPARISSON AT ALL with them What was BAD They ONLY gave us 1 room key for 2 people ENTRETAIMENT=ZERO-NO SHOWS or anything FOOD TERRIBLE selection very few selections of dishes 5or 6 ONLY A la CARTE restaurants are awful bad quality food no taste &Few selections Examples First day we arrived at 3 pm AFTER lunch hour so until dinner there was ONLY 1 option by the beach where they ONLY serve PIZZA-BURGERS-HOT DOGS&QUESADILLAS We order 1 pizza(SORRY we don't have pizza)We order burger with fries & hot dog(SORRY we do NOT have MUSTARD)We order regular pepsi &PEPSI ZERO(SORRY we do NOT have regular Pepsi) with LEMON(SORRY WE DONT HAVE LEMON)We asked for AVOCADO(SORRY WE DO NOT HAVE AVOCADO) Ok we thought it's SATURDAY MAYBE they run out WELL NO, WE STAYED FOR 5 NIGHTS THEY NEVER GOT THE REGULAR PEPSI NEITHER THE MUSTARD. Other day even they close 6 pm at 5:45 WE WERE DENIED SERVICE MAIN BUFFET BREAKFAST LUNCH & DINNER Orange juice was WATER WITH COLOR not REAL ORANGES 1 night my wife got a hot tea and was walking out of the restaurant with it She was stopped at the door telling her she can NOT leave with the TEA CUP They offered her a THIN PLASTIC CUP Dinner was until 10:30 pm, at 8:45 BOLONESA sauce for the pasta WAS finished 3 times in 5 days

Everything was perfect in my stay

The hotel is nice , the staff are very friendly, but very poor in activities. My family and I were bored at all while we stayed. I didn't like this whynhand resort , I would rather to stay at the whynhand resort in las terrenas...

Beautiful location, friendly staff, good food and lots of water options. Room we stayed in did have a faulty flusher on the toilet and a bad small on and off but that didn’t matter too much because we were hardly in the room. It’s so beautiful and I would highly recommend!!

I smoke cigards, they have only four or five places in the property that you can smoke. There is a sign and a metal ashtray and you stand next to it., they don't have even a chair to sit down and enjoy. You have to be standing next to other people in plain view of the bar like you are a kid in time out. I understand the separate area but they made it very unpleasant. They have cero activities for teenagers., went I tried to go with my 16 years old son to the gym to entertain him we couldn't do it because he was not 18. Totally absurd if you have your parent with you.

The staff is very nice .

Some staff members treat the local tourists sil a type of no empathy.

I've consistently chosen this resort, but they refused my request for a credit during a family emergency, which was very disappointing.

We love it ! , this hotel is Beautiful , the beach, the food , the drinks we had a very good time , shoutout to nidia at the pool she serve the best drinks and she is so friendly and Francisco at the restaurant he is very nice and friendly thank you we will back soon !!

What was good about this resort was is wasn't very crowded, the pool was good, and it was very quiet at night. The staff were all very nice. The bad was the food. The food was inedible. Very limited options where to eat. Our first room didnt have air conditioning working, but luckily they moved us right next door right away. The beach loungers did not have a single umbrella, so if you wanted to go to the beach, all you had was the sun. My daughter enjoyed the kids club, at least. But the food was truly awful.

Great modern boho chic establishment and services. Loved the variety in food selections and the peaceful ambience. I highly recommend and will definitely revisit again!

- Beautiful, private beach - loud noises in room, not just the fan. No water pressure for shower. Flush was broken. TV service broke down at one point. Flickering lights. Had to change room once, and the other room was pretty much the same. - Some very friendly and helpful staff (Front desk and concierge), but restaurant staff was picky about where you sit, even though there were no signs and plenty of seats. - Food was neither quality nor variety. Mostly seafood, beef, pork, pasta, and starches. Desserts were bland and tasted the same. We worried about food handling as well, and some labels were incorrect. There were themes for each dinner, but the food ended up being very similar. The bread was great, though! - We checked in pretty late, so they had a sandwich and yoghurt in our room for us. - ATM was broken, though it took our credit. We ended up having to go to the bank in town, and are still disputing the charge. - The Japanese restaurant never opened, even though there were signs and it was on the activity sheet. We couldn't even see what building it would be in. - The hotel was friendly in correspondence, but recommended a transportation company that way over-charged compared to taxis, and the staff even showed us the taxi prices. - Went in low-season (mid/late January), so it wasn't too busy. No people rushing to reserve the beach chairs. - The beach was amazing, but there were stray dogs that would beg you for food if you brought it to the beach chairs.

Some of the staff need more training on how to treat customers.
