This is a beautiful hotel in a prime location.

Room with view was nice. Price booked with Expedia.com is lower than booked direct with hotel. We liked our room and extended another night. Price quoted by hotel was more expensive but staff was nice enough to tell us to book with Expedia.com, then informed staff so we could stay in the same room without moving to other room

Very friendly staff made us feel welcome, the views would be hard to beat, breakfast was fantastic with a great choice of foods and the waitress was so friendly, the bar prices are a little bit expensive but we had a very nice 2 day stay in this great hotel

A time capsule from the 1960s and 70s and it really shows. While the place is extremely charming, it is a relic from the glorious past that sadly cannot just use the "stunning view" or "instant access" to the beach as it's trump card and the facilities are poor and no tea or coffee or kettle was available in the room.

Great view and location. Hotel beds are the firmest hotel bed I’ve had and much too form for me. Breakfast was ok. Scrambled eggs were weird and crumbly every morning.

Very close access to the beach but very dated. Not up to a 4 star rating. Beds are rock hard, breakfast adequate but nothing special. Outdoor pool was lovely and nice shade from mature trees. Wouldn’t book it again for the price we paid!

The location and the views were great. It was also very clean. We enjoyed the outdoor pool area. The hotel itself is in need of renovations - it is quite dated.

I booked this hotel as it had parking. However, there isn't enough parking for all guests. As a result I had to park a long walk uphill and walk back to the hotel. Check in was awful. We were given a room without an ocean view which we had paid for. After much complaining , we were moved to an ocean room view. Reception staff were very rude. Hotel is fairly dated and needs a refurbishment. Positives - great location, pool area is nice, view from balcony, clean rooms. Breakfast is ok.

A lovely traditional building but seems to have downgraded since covid. No glasses in rooms just paper cups. Rooms booked were supposed to be large enough for 3 people but this resulted in a smaller balcony and a poorer view. Staff in restaurant for breakfast were unhelpful except for Otilde who did everything she could to make our stay better. She deserves a lot of credit. No breakfast tea bags and the hot plates were never switched on so food that should have been hot was cold. Unfortunately poor British tourists in the garden playing football. When asked politely to stop they were very rude. "We have paid a lot of money to come here". Well, if you happen to read this, so had everybody else so I suggest you spend some money and learn to read and have some respect for others. It said clearly no ball games in the garden. Go on the beach! Staff on duty during the day in the bar could do with some lessons in smiling and customer service. Can't fault cleanliness. This used to be a lovely friendly hotel but seems to have lost its way.

Great location in a charming neighborhood, close to restaurants and shops. Many tourist attractions were walkable( 25 min. To get to) and the buses and trolly were nearby. My room was very nice and had a view of the city! The only negatives- breakfast selection was not worth the extra charge. A coffee set up in the lobby would be nice and some bottled wayer for the room. Other than that- loved my stay!

Good lay out and close to beach.

Older property but exceptionally clean. Smooth efficient checkin and check out. Our room was charming and well maintained. The views are absolutely stunning. Good breakfast was include and had a great selection of items.

Very nice property, great location and grounds are very well kept. Walkable to all amenities. The rooms are clean and views from the hotel are super nice. Quality vs value is good, reflects the fact that rooms would need some upgrades though very clean

Large hotel with plenty of facilities,set in nice grounds with sea view,all the staff we dealt with were very friendly and helpful.

Loved saunas and scenery. Staff was very helpful. The facility needs some update but clean.
